    And I'd be loving it.

You're going by what a few papers, and sky sports have said. They've all got plenty wrong in the past. Even 'Diffs chairman and Dave Jones don't feel it'll happen either.

I'm not believing it mate. Can't see it happening for a few years yet. He'll go one day, but not now.

Not a chance this is a club on the verge of being bankrupt........anyone heard the other rumour Messi to Pompey.....

He might end up at Fulham but he would have to play for free at Cardiff.....

If he wasnt welsh this story would never see the light of day....

noway he goes to Cardiff , he is top player, he can sign in any PL team easily, he is my favorite player in PL for last 3 years, incredible talent and fight spirit. better than any player in that MANC joke.

They would almost certainly guarantee promotion with him in their side and perhaps on going up there would be a clause that Cardiff would have to buy him for £10m?

He's a much travelled footballer, what's wrong with wanting to go home and play for your local club? There's only so much money you can spend and only so many houses you can live in. Surely an unsatisfied dream would hurt over the years? John Hartson still says his biggest regret was never playing for Swansea, he took the cash instead

The funny thing is, when talking about it on Talk Sport they said it's not about the money, which totally contradicts what they are always saying about the game/prem lg nowadays.

They are no different to us, you all want to earn as much as we can, but when you've played for over ten seasons on an average wage of £2-3m a year, how much do you need? His wife and family live in Cardiff, perhaps he's played the 'single footballer' thing whilst he's been away from his misses, but now wants to settle down with them and be a proper family?

                  Can Cardiff afford Bellamy?

Sorry to kick the back doors in on this "Craig Bellamy is fantastic" thread but I must disagree with those who are waxing lyrical about the fella and now talking up Cardiv's chances.

Whilst I would begrudgingly accept him at Rangers for his football ability I would always have half an eye on the fact he is a ticking bomb.

If ever a club and player were well suited it's Bellamy and Cardiv.
He is an overinflated ego who has often thought he is above the law, calls the shots and can get away with some naughty behaviour ona nd off the pitch.

I think he will sign for the knuckle draggers and I also think he'll soon be involved in exploits in Cardiv nightspots etc as he has been in the recent past.

Also don't see why people think Cardiv are totally skint -- they've signed a couple of long term loanees and are obvioulsy able to hold out for a bigger fee for Chopra than people are offering.

They have new brooms in and, just like us, I reckon they are adpoting a more prudent approach to sort out the mess of the previous clown (same as us) while still having ambitions.
I need some time in the sunshine, I gotta slow it right down.

So would you take a major paycut and do your job at a lower level? I don't think his family have suffered over the last 10 years do you?

I am sure he will be snapped up by another Premier League club.

If I wanted to be with my family rather than miles away, yes I would, there's more to life than money, especially when you've already got around £20m in the bank!

He's 31 now and is running out of time to play for his local club

All guess work of course, I have no idea if this is a goer or what he's thinking

Maybe He was Brought in To REPLACE Chopra, so he might come in after all. If Bellamy did go to Cardiff, Who would you have to support Bothroyd? Bellamy or Chopra?

                              1. Man City have said that they will not loan or sell to a rival. That isn't just a title rival it is a 4th spot rival which could be clubs down to 10th.

                              2. That means he can only got to a crap prem club or a team in his home, where his family still live - if they can convince him that they can get to the prem this year he could well go.

3.Money - City are happy to subisdise a loan due to the new rules about squad size as they know clubs can't pay him his inflated wages.

I still think his agent will talk him out of it, but it could happen.

I will be shocked if a prem club doesn't get him. He's far too good for our division
