  • Can we extend our lead at the top next week?

Just looking at next weeks fixtures and I think we could go clear at the top of league if we beat S****horpe. I know its early days but the likes of Boro, Forest & Reading all early promotion candidates sit on 1pt and Staurday represents a brilliant chance to put some daylight between us and these teams. Will the R's be the only team left with a 100% record come 1645 on Sat, can't see Millwall beating Leeds at Elland Road?

    Coventry v Derby
    Leeds United v Millwall
    Bristol City v Barnsley
    Burnley v Leicester
    Cardiff v Doncaster
    Crystal Palace v Ipswich
    Hull v Watford
    Norwich v Swansea
    Preston v Portsmouth
    QPR v S****horpe
    Reading v Nott'm Forest
    Middlesbrough v Sheff Utd

In answer to the first question - yes.

In answer to the second question - maybe but Millwall beat Leeds 2-0 at Elland Road last season.

Millwall are a good side and have a good manager, I wouldnt rule them out of them beating Leeds.

We may slip up against S****horpe, but hopefully another 3pts

Can't see Forest winning at Reading think that will be draw and Sheff Utd will bounce back from yesterday against Boro and grab a pt up there.

Think the Leeds / Millwall game will have a really highly charged atmosphere , be a difficult one for Millwall I think.

I think Coventry will replace Millwall in the Top 2.

We have to beat S****horpe it can be no other result surely.

I think we'll win our next three games at least. The following two will be a test, but I fancy us at Ipswich. Not too confident of a win at Leicester though.

It will be the Ipswich & Leicester game which give us a better idea where our season is heading. September looks a pretty tough month on paper.

It was v Leicester where it all went wrong last season so i hope it doesn't play on their minds.

Neil said earlier Scunny will be our toughest game so far.

Mainly because everyone is going to expect us to smash them, he said he'd be happy with a scrappy 1-0 win, and to be honest id take that too.

Everyone needs to stay firmly on the ground, lets not get ahead of ourselves. Also in Neil's words, "we arnt yet the finished article"...

I disagree regarding the millwall side.

People underestimate millwall, they are and it hurts me to say a decent side and they have a brilliant manager in Kenny Jackett.

Leeds and forest looked very poor on sky today and I think millwall are playing with confidence, something that the leeds side is lacking.

I think we should beat scunny although I am still warry because of lack of finishers and strikers. I would like to see a quality striker in before sat but our midfield should be to strong for scunny.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Wasn't desperately impressed with Leeds today, Millwall will get at least a draw up there if not more.
We will just need to beat Scunny by a bigger margin than Millwall beat Leeds, if they do.

Glad to hear Warnock is saying "this is going to be the hardest game of the season"

So many times in the past, we go to a game like this and expect a 3 or 4-0 victory and end up losing 1-0 or drawing 0-0, because we are not mentally right.

I know it was Port Vale, but how many expected us to win, sure the players thought they could just turn up too, that attitude needs to change.
