Ipswich are in talks with another club other than Stoke regarding midfielder Jon Walters (thought he was a striker).

Think you're right on both counts.Warnock has been interested in Walters since the end of last season and we were reported in the Mail to have offered £2.5m for him about six weeks ago,although I doubt it was that much.
He is described on Google as a "wide" player,more of a midfielder, rather than an outright striker and his return of 30 in 135 (one every 4.5 games) would suggest that.Not as prolific as Roberts but 6 years younger.
