Although I think signing Smith or a new striker is ideal and will add to the depth in our squad...

I do just want to say although he may not score 20 goals... and probably only 12 at most...

That Helguson offers something to QPR...

Works hard, Won the penalty today and is a great target man

credit were its due, im glad we have kept him IMO

    Same with Hall and Hogan

I'd say being a good and consistent goalscorer is at least 50% confidence.

He's proved what he's capable at Watford when the fans back him and boost his confidence. Lets do the same, through thick AND THIN, and who knows what he could achieve with us...

I thought he was great today - really good movement, smart runs and pulling their defenders all over the place. TBH it was a superb team performance and all the players looked the part but there's no reason why Eidur can't become an integral part of that team.

Helguson is actually the weak link in the side now.... certainly the odd one out.

I think if we buy Scotland then it will be a different QPR side.

Yeah I mean he's only made 2 penalties for us in 2 games, one of which he took superbly, the other he would have taken before Adel grabbed the ball from him, plus he can hold it up better than anyone else at the club.

I honestly cant see how we can be knocking the guy already.

Agreed. His finishing has been pretty bad to say the least since he hes been with us, but his overall play has been superb. Needs encouragement and support. Then, hopefully the goals will come.

You can tell that from the comfort of your armchair can you?

Can say for a fact you never went to Sheffield.

I'm not HH's greatest fan, but yesterday he created a lot of space for others by his movement -- Sheff didn't really know what to do with him and overmarked him, leaving A LOT of room for the midfield behind him.
I can see why NW is keeping him there.
If he stays fit, all we need is decent cover.
When Clarke came on, he seemed to go in Hogan's place out wide, while Hogan went more central -- and I don't think Clarke did as badly as some are suggesting.
Faurlin is my hero!!! Love him!!! #########

HH also chested that ball down to start the first goal... lovely that was...

HH is playing well for us, gets involved in most of our attacking play, and does it well.
                        They seek him here.................

HH looks far more hungry and sharp since his return from Watford. It seems to have been a good move as his confidence was back from the loan spell. I think he'll be an important squad player, and I'm pleased for him that he's seemingly earnt a place in the squad. Everyone wrote him off and he's not let it get to him. It's only made him more determined to prove his worth.

I think he'll be very useful to bring on when we're looking to hold a lead, or even as a starter in the new formation for those tough away games. He's decent with his back to goal in the sense that he'll bring Taarabt, Mackie and Ephraim into the frame, and that sort of trait is useful against big briusers of defenders.

I;m not saying he's going to be a fantastic player for us, but I feel he's definitely got something to offer this season.

He has a great leap for a small(ish) guy and wins a fair number of headers through that too.
