agree, but just to add that IF we did go down the buying success route there would be some who would moan that we were turning into another Chelsea or man city. seem to recall many were worried that this might be the case when FB and BE first came on board.

Listening to NW this morning he openly admitted that we are a couple of signings away from being genuine title contenders BUT that we will not pay players Premiership wages to do so, they must have the hunger to want to come and play football and just not for ridiculous money !

chopra really is the difference between promotion or mid table or squeezing into the play offs and then losing them thru lack of goals.
this manager and this side are very good, just lacking in the most important department.
its so upsetting they wont equal the sheron record that was paid by people with a fraction of their dough, to get us up.

Agree matey.

A genuine goalscorer is all we need as we have the players to create the chances.We just need someone to tuck them away.

Surely £3m invested in a player like Chopra,Fryatt or Roberts would pay itself back through Promotion.

And Roberts only wants a 2 year contract at £30,000 a week.

I bet Dave and Vine cost more than £30k a week for them two wasters.

so how exactly are the club building it properly? do agree that we should not be spending a fortune on wages for players like roberts/Beattie but a little outlay on a couple of good strikers wouldnt go amiss,its not as if this is a new problem for the board. get rid of that uesless clown paladini & reduce ticket prices would be a start of running the club properly.

Getting rid of big money earners like Hall,Vine,Dave and Cook would be a start.

But Paladini has them on big money,long term contracts so we are stuck with this rubbish.
