Al Fayed-spent & have been successful for years now when they used to get 7,000 crowds.
Dave Whealan-spent & still in the prem buying & selling players for vast sums.
Reading-granted they are not in the prem but another chairman who's not afraid to spend a few bob. I remember going to Elm Park it was a small kazi with about 6,000 gates.
At the end of the day Mittal has 20,000 MILLION yes 20,000 MILLION in the bank whether its the clubs or not come on!!!!!
All talk no action & losing patience & faith with these guys.
You are quite wrong there my friend ......He Has [20 BILLION ...YES 20 BILLION !!!!!SIZE="6"][/SIZE]
We really don't know what the owners' intentions are for our club and are reduced to constantly guessing. If it's just a business then they've got to be kidding, right? Who makes money in the Championship?
Why are they bothering? Is it an experiment to show how clever they are? What do they think will happen if they lay their cards on the table?
Ultimately, high expectations have been created because of the 'billionaires' tag and sky high season ticket prices. "Okay. You've got loads of money. We are paying much much more to watch our team now. When are we going to see the goods?"
The old 'we are treated like mushrooms' analogy comes to mind........Kept in the dark and fed shite.
To suggest someone like Mittal doesnt know this basic rule on which any successful business is built, is of course ludicrous. On the surface however it appears as if he is not putting this into practise, the reasons for which are a total mystery to all of us. He is no doubt aware of the riches that await in the promised land, yet Ishan's buzz words seems to be "financial prudence". Well you can be as prudent as you like but every now and again you need to gamble a bit too.
I keep hearing Warnock say that he would rather wait a little longer and get the RIGHT striker in, rather than hastily sign someone that in the long term wont pay off, and I can completely understand where he's coming from there. So for now thats the only explanation I can see for the delay, but the acid test will be to see where we are come August 31.
But you also need to make money, which we don't by a country mile!!!!
Where would Fulham be now, if Al Fayed hadn't invested the necessary funds?
Were Fulham making shyte-loads of wonga when he took them over, no, of course not.
And, if my memory serves me, wasn't Fulham's average gate a measly 5-6000.
Look mate, no football club "makes money", even the likes of Barcelona carry huge debt, Manchester Utd another club with staggering debt.
£10million out of an estimated £20-30billion fortune, will neither make the Mittals, or break them, will it?
Nobody is asking the board at QPR to spend money like water, just enough to ensure that when a chance of signing a striker of Chopra's pedigree comes up, we seize that opportunity.
Now, come on, tell your uncle BushRanger, where do the Rangers look like they'll be this time next year?
It seems that the criticism many had of Blackburn then Chelsea and now Man city had of buying the title is now ok should Rangers do it ! Unfortunately it is the likes of Jack WAlker and Roman Abramovich who have slowly killed the game I love, no the FA and Premier League haven't helped but the over spending by these characters has partly caused the disparity we now have in our game.
Paying players like Jason Roberts, Dave Kitson, James Beattie 20k per week is both ridiculous and obscene and Man city's new policy paying 2 new players over 200k a week, just beggars belief.
It's not a viable business until the club is in the Premiership. QPR will never make money in the Championship, it's doubtful we would even if we were in the Prem, you do not buy a football club to make money!
