More Punters seem to be doubting Warnock on here

The following points:

1) Hall as Captain
2) Hall even Starting
3) No striker being signed
4) Tommy Smith being looked at rather than a decent striker
5) Team selection Yesterday
6) Style of play


Before anyone starts, THESE ARE NOT MY OPINIONS, just what I have read on here.
Are we all really happy with what Warnock has done since he has been here?

I am 75% happy. Points 1+3 are my main concerns.

only two decisions have concerned me with warnock.

one which you state:
1. playing and giving captaincy to fitz hall.
2. signing leon clarke

with hill and derry, I was annoyed at their arrivals but i can see why they are there and im not expecting either to produce amazing performances week in week out like many have with adel. im expecting them two to organise, do the simple things, get stuck in and show character. we missed that last year.

we are not the mini man city alot of fans want us / expect us to be. some will say quality is no substitute, well paying for it stops that. id rather we signed hill and derry with say the focus of our budget going to somebody like roberts or chopra than us signing somebody of same quality to say shorey. its clear we cant have the best of both.

i trust warnock, every manager makes mistakes.. even sir alex has in the past.. it happens.

i genuinely feel he is trying to get the right striker(or two) in and until the window shuts i will reserve my judgement on his signings.

Forgot about Clarke... He really is poor, though that is something that I already knew after seeing him play numerous times, against us, and other opponents and even on loan for us!!

dont really see what the big deal is with Hall being capt?
NW has been working closely with the players for a while now and must have seen something in him. Football Capts aren't as important as Rugby or Cricket because they do not make tactical decisions like they do.
Not saying its not important or an honour but like the England saga recently, too much emphasis is put upon the captaincy.
Hall is one of the more experienced players, older, played at a higher level for longer than most of them. Dont see why its such an issue. Maybe NW thought the captaincy would make him a better player.
We only two bluddy games in to the season as well.
Give the lad a chance eh?
And with regards to Hall starting...... we have better centre halves? Connelly is not a better option. Maybe one day but i have seen nothing from Connelly, performance of consistency wise to make me think he his better option than Hall.
No strikers in yet???????????? Maybe we waiting for the right deal. No use buying players we dont really want. There still time to sort players out and get them in before the window closes.
Style of play and team selection???????????? after TWO games? if people are concerned after 2 games, one of which was a league cup game? Ridiculous.

i was fuming yesterday

but i kind of expected us to get beat

we are 1st round specialists

despite that i feel that port vale played fantastic and you have to give it to micky adams he made sure he stoped us playing in the middle of the park

the reason they won was because of micky adams tactics
