Warnock's a wily old fox you know.

He probably knew we weren't going to win, probably told the players not to bust a gut and get injured - all to prove a point to the board that we really do need a few more quality players before deadline day.

And that fact is reflected on here.

I could not give two hoots about the Carling Cup, but if this encourages the board to get their wallets out, that's great.
