brief summary ...weaker team but shld have been capable of winning. our defensive luck from the other day didnt last as expected and our weakness in clearing our lines and balls in the box was exposed. today confirmed to me once again that hall is not good enough. cant head the ball, always positioned bafly and leaves players unmarked constantly, relying on the woodwork to save his defensive lapseS.
borrowdale was hopeless as usual, clarke barely touched the ball, hall dreadful, legs couldnt pass to save his life and was very sluggesh, hogan non existent.
only positives were mackie who although shld have scored, always gave everytging and was our only hope. german looked decent and rose at least gave his all.
not that bothered about the cup but a shame we may have missed out on a decent run and there was little sign of any respect for port vale. didnt really look like we cared until our goal went in. hopefully we can get a result at sheffield but with hall in the side i wont hold my breath
