I can see us singing this after a few games.

To the tune of the Sade classic...

    My love is king,
    crown you in our heart.
    Our love is king,
    never need to part.
Round and round and round the pitch.
Touching the very part of me.
    It's making my soul sing.
Tearing the very heart of me.
    I'm crying out for more.
    My love is king

There are many examples of football players that do bad things, both playing now and in the past. Where do you draw the line?

Football players are only that. They are not role models for your children or mine. They are sportsman earning a living. If we sign him and you don't want to come to the match don't come. If he scores goals - don't cheer.

Amazing how so many people like George Best who was a wife beater and many others because they are seen as a bit cool.

      Absolutly spot on.

We had Terrell Forbes at one stage who was on a charge of rape.

We have had a few colourful characters over the years down the Rangers.
Paddy Kenny's banned substance was sinex and tixylix.

              Forbes was found not guilty

Derry wasn't even reported to the FA.

No-one can find a semblance of common ground to support or give creedence to the signing of King. If it happened it would stink the place out.

I wish Marlon King all the very best in a new career AWAY from football, devoting himself to a career along the lines of philanthropic charity work for victims of violent crime. Come on Marlon, morally YOU KNOW its the right to do

My point precisely. Of course what I'm suggesting would be highly unlikely to ever happen, but thats not to say it wouldnt be the decent thing to do.

Now correct me if I'm wrong, our club Queens Park Rangers promote the family enviroment and, I'd say, do it very well like the recent 'family fun-day' at Loftus Road. I love the fact that the face of football, be it expensive, is on the whole a safe place for children and women to come and watch the beautiful game - Far from the days of the late 60's and early 70's when I first started supporting The R's ..... the violence on the terraces blah blah, you know where I'm coming from here!

The point I wish to make is about the potential signing of Marlon King!!!
For me, it goes againts the grain of everything that QPR FC stands for, including Daphne Biggs, Jim Gregory, Ray Jones, Dave Clement, Tony Ingham who've represented Rangers as players and internal staff ... and the many decent QPR supporters like Fred Perry, Steve Edwards, Dougie Soar and Paul Gooch, to mention just a few of the loyal QPR fans, and people, who are no longer with us.

Marlon King has a list of offences against him longer than your arm, it's not JUST the last offence that got him the prison sentence, whereby he'd smashed in the face of a young lady who resisted him ..... oh no! This man has a string of assaults and sexual crimes againts women going back years and years ..... plus, Marlon King will be registered on the sex-offenders list for the next ten years, and that's a fact!

I could go on and on - The be all and end all for me is ...... I DONT WANT MARLON KING REPRESENTING QUEENS PARK RANGERS!!
well said Joe, there are somethings unforgivable, assaulting women being one of them:angry:
I must away now, I can no longer tarry
This morning's tempest I have to cross
I must be guided without a stumble
Into the arms I love the most

I have said this several times before, NW said on 5Live he wouldn't be signing King. If he does then unfortunately he will have lied and I for one will not be happy, but wtf has it to do with me?

King would probably be weeks away from fittness, month or so away from match fitness and decades away from a decent fella.
