WE only have two original songs which are Captain Jack, Running Down The Uxbridge Roadand to a lesser degree wearetherangersboys stand make some noise (which to this day still many sing, but some don't like it)

All other sings are copied, nicked or changed words from other clubs.
"Running Down the Uxbridge Road" is The Blaydon Races. A Newcastle song.

I should have clearly aimed the prawn comment to you.

For me football is all about atmosphere and getting behind players. If you think its gay making up songs or fans singing them, than you are more a toff than I gave you credit for.
Call me old fashioned but I think a football atmosphere should be spontaneous.

I find the prawn sandwich and toff comments a little bit ironic when only its only a new breed of fan which gets his pen and paper out to make up football songs.

you must be deluded if you think I need a pen and paper.

        It was sang on Saturday

Maybe you'll hear it at the next home game, who knows?

          By 5 people.

Fair play for trying with it though.. personally I think this would work better:

We've got the best midfield in the world,
          We've got Derry and Mackie,
          Taarabt and Buzsaky,
          And Alejaaandroooo.

(Something very similar posted by someone the other day)

Last line needs some improvement as well.

Must be a reworking of Lady GaGa's "Alejandro" that someone could knock up?

I even got that with the Buzsacky song

If supporters end up singing it, then its good, if no-one does than it falls by the way-side thats the what happens. All about majorites

the buszacy song was nicked off man utd and arsenal and possibly a dozen other clubs. i have to say but you have never come up with a single song that i thought was any good. not one. your latest effort is shitehouse.

Who gives a flying toss about the origin of the songs we sing. If it gees up the team and cranks up the atmosphere, it's all jiggy eh!

I blew a lot on vodka and tonic, gambling and fags. Looking back, I think I overdid it on the tonic. - The one and only Stanley Bowles

I remember a catchy song from upper loft last season.....

                          " Can you hear Giani's boy "

                            true,

No more than 6 sang it, and lasted one game.

proves my point, if its a good song it sticks, if not it gets lost in the memory
