A lot easier because QPR fans can't control themselves? Perhaps it is best to ban those who dish out unneccessary abuse and break the rules here;or at least recommend them to get checked up with the problem that they can't control themselves, of course.

when you palace "boys" are not around my job is easy, doesn't that tell you something.
Cannot see why you are on here, wouldn't be caught dead on another teams board.

Shouldnt you be out robbing the locals in Croydonistan at this time?

Hope it is not true. If true, at least give him a pay as you play contract so as not to jeopardise club budget.

Yep I was about to say the same, lazy journalism, what a shock huh?

It's like reading the Daily Mail on here! Nobody condones what he has done, it was wrong and stupid. However he has served his time and therefore should be given a chance with people (with a certain amount of caution of course - he needs to prove to people he can behave etc).

People are such hypocrites. There's talk on here of violence at matches, for example, and some people lauding that up - it is pathetic yet that is acceptable to many. Yes, King has been convicted of stuff and perhaps QPR would be better off not signing him after our recent turbulent times, but if we did sign him I would support him as I do any other player.

I wish I was as perfect as everyone else who gets on their high horse and spouts vitriol. I am all for giving someone a chance to redeem themselves. I think when people get on their high horse it is to make themselves feel like a better person or more moral, it is really self-serving. But someone with more integrity might give him a chance now he has done his time. Just a thought.

Sure he's entitled to a second chance. Just would prefer it wasn't at Queens Park Rangers FC. Palace or Cardiff deserve him.

Would destroy the team spirit and morale that's been steadily built.

Agree that it may be lazy journalism but either way it is all over newsnow and the rumour and speculation is gathering momentum.

Not helped by the fact there has been no strong denial in this story coming out of the club. All the time Warnock talks of second chances and having served his sentence and new chapters etc it keeps the option of him coming here open.

One definite "not happening" and it's a non story.

Nodge, I agree with you that it would be better for us to not have any distractions etc after last few years. That's a footballing reason and this is football. I just dislike it when I see people spouting off moralistic bullsh1t in the manner they do sometimes, without any real thought.

i think he has great ability, but just think it will bring back boos from both sets of fans, unless he really does start scoring a lot of goals early on

I love the way Talksport presenters get on their high-horse about King..... and then hand over to Stan Collymore to do his show.

One bloke was cut off in mid-sentence last week, after asking mentioning Collymore on Alan Brazils show.
Brazil said it was a technical fault, and they'd try and get him back on the line.... they didn't.

Someone also mentioned it on Danny Kelly and Ray Houghton's show one evening last week. Again, the caller was terminated leaving Kelly to get in a self justifying rant supporting the Stafford Dogger

Did you get that impression from the interview? There was no way he made any suggestion we would sign him. Neil was just helping the guys cause from what I could here.

Must admit some of the claims of "If he signs, I'm tearing up my season ticket and never going again" reminds me of the Michael Palin character in Ripping Yarns.

If he does sign - and I'm beginning to think he might if the rumours of him training with us already are true - then, seriously, what can we do anyway?

Miss a game in protest, chant "sack the board" after a game or even booing him everytime he touches the ball? How is that going to help and what will it achieve?

Will the board then rip up his contract and say "Sorry son, the fans don't like you?" I don't think so. Never happened in the history of football.

Pretty sure that if he signs this week and grabs the winner against Sheff Utd this weekend, some of the anger will disappear and the more he scores the more forgiving most of us will suddenly become. That's what tends to happen.

But if he turns out to be Mark Hateley..? Put him in The Stocks and throw rotten tomatoes at him, I say.
