  • If Adel is marked out of a match.

Who will fill his boots(to some extent, though)?

    Teamwork?

Think we will see a lot of man marking this season judging by his performance yesterday & of course we saw Robbie Savage mark him out of the game last year BUT with Faurlin & hopefully Buzz soon we have enough in our locker to create from midfield.

I think you are spot on. I have to add, That´s why Neil has to work out a plan B,C,D et cetera.Surely he already has.

A player like Mackie will also be very important regarding his runs. If the raving reports about him is true we might have a real gem at our hands..

Man marking is a nightmare to pull off successfully for a whole 90 mins. Even if it is done properly, it leaves more space for other players.

Either way, sure we still have other options creativity wise and agree with previous posts that NW will have a plan b, c etc

All part of Adel's development... it's something that all the best players need to learn how to deal with. I'm sure loads of clubs plan on man-marking likes of Messi, Tevez, Fabregas etc before games but these players still manage to break the shackles and influence games. Biggest test for Adel will be curbing his temper if some clogger is just following him around booting him all match.
I think we need to have a cool-headed mentor on the pitch to look after Adel; y'know, an experienced old pro to keep him focussed and step in if he's gonna blow. Currently, I'm not sure who'd be best at this role but I don't think it's Fitz though.

Agree. A digression maybe, but thats the reason we have to buy Chopra and Roberts if we can afford to.
