  • So Proud To Be A QPR Fan Today..

What a fantastic day for so many reasons. The anticipation of a new season / team/ manager. The new signings, the anti Taarabt brigade post match munching hearty slice of humble pie the vociferous Rangers fans singing & applauding our team. Adel Taarabt rightly getting a welcome & appreciation fit for a king. The brilliant performances of our new recruits. So many reasons to be happy tonight after a summer of doom & gloom on this very message board.

Of course a big test will be next week at Brammal Lane but for now I will sleep well & enjoy the Sunday papers knowing for now we are TOP OF THE LEAGUE!!

What was your favourite part of the day? And how do you see us performing next week up in Sheffield? Well done those that were there today & those that were not. Keep up the good work because the team most definitely benefit from it.

    Good result today, fair play.

However, I do hope most of your fans will be more wary of piling expectation on the team and club on the basis of one game.

Its just nice to be top of the table, albeit after 1 game! When was the last time we were in that position?

Spot on ric-roc, my favourite part was the fans and their support for 90 minutes. I know its always easier to cheer when you're winning but I thought the support was very good. We even stood and applauded HH and the support given to Adel was fantastic

I blew a lot on vodka and tonic, gambling and fags. Looking back, I think I overdid it on the tonic. - The one and only Stanley Bowles

Couldn't agree more. Both the players and the fans doing what they should, made for a nice change.

Fantastic team spirit with everyone working for each other. Adel was pure class throughout. Best bit for me was after one of his more outrageous passes which someone failed to put away, Derry just stood there smiling, not quite believing what he had just seen.

However, for an alternative view of the afternoon, ........

That Barnsley report is funny! The Helgusson pen was a def one, didn't see adel's in 1st half but was told it was. And as for the clear cut handball they should've had, maybe but it seemed to me like it was their players arm not Halls. Anyone see this more clearly?

I think we deserved the win anyway!

Hall did handle it but it was defo ball to hand and not hand to ball. Could of been given though

cant we do an anti protest to thank the manager and board for really putting our club into such a healthy postion.
if we did that it would make them feel proud and might nudge forward the push for chopra and roberts.

Yes, it won't be long before we end up on the wrong end of a hand ball decision but until then lets celebrate a great performance/effort/support and victory

Geez the atmosphere for a team that was up 4 nil was shocking, we have some major fair weather fans that unfortunately go to a great deal of games but lack the passion to turn Loftus road onto a true fortress.

Selhurst? Atmosphere? Oxy***** if ever there was one - more atmosphere in outer space than at that place. You lot are SILENT at home year in year out. Loftus Rd has been a bit downbeat over the last couple of seasons, but is still puts your place to shame...
