Was great to see Mackies celebration after he scored on saturday, he was going mental, he was so pumped up for it you wouldnt believe, thats where i draw my gareth ainsworth comparison from...

Hes a good player, looks like he is gonna mostly be a winger but you can see he's allways in the hunt for a goal, he has a strikers brain. In fairness i can see him getting into double figures even from midfield..

His control is fine, dunno why people were mentioning that, his attitude and 100% approach counts for alot cos he chases down lost causes and doesnt give the other team any time, he was getting at barnsley well and not giving them time...

Decent passer, didnt really put a foot wrong to be fair...
I'm certain that everyone saying his touch is poor is basing it entirely on the one poor effort on Saturday from that sublime pass by Adel. It really was awful and spoiled what would have been a great goal scoring chance.

Other than that, his touch was assured throughout and has been decent during pre-season - but as always, we have a great number of negative fans who will focus on that one incident.

Rooney's touch at the WC was truly shocking, he failed to control any ball and yet he seemingly is still world class - Mackie messed up one pass and he all of a sudden has no touch at all!!

Anyone slagging off Gareth Ainsworth seriously needs to have a word with themselves.

Mackie was the dogs! Strength, pace and determination. Ran half the field with a Barnsley player on his back.

Granted, he made a few mistakes, but it was his debut.

You can't fault the way he got stuck in. Didn't really see that much last season.

Why I couldn't care less about Gareth Ainsworth never understood what all the fuss is about TBH, can't fault his commitment as a player but he weren't that great, he is no Rangers legend to me.

Your generosity of spirit towards a loyal player whose presence at the club made it a better place is disappointing.

              LEAVE IT OUT FFS!

A good honest pro nothing more nothing less, good servant to the club but the way some of you are going on you think he walked on water.

Pay me about 5k a week and put me on a 3 year contract and I'd show you all the love you need. Don't let sentiment cloud your judgement of a players ability.

I dont get to see what W12_Ranger says as I have him on an ignore list, but seeing what you have responded to him about shows he has his head up his backside.

With him, he is allowed his opinions about players and rams it down everyone's throats, as he knows so much (dont know if he goes that often) and if you have a different view on a player he likes, he hates it.

The funny thing is, the main reason I did not want Taarabt back at W12 was because I was of the oppinion his attitude and the way he was would upset a other players, and Warnock said he does in the post match interview, but we need to get past that and I agree with him.

Oh dear, what a sad individual you are. But don't worry there are plenty on this website ready to ram your 'Two Ball' hate campaign back down your throat every week, like you fully deserve.

Agree - Mackie had one incident where his touch was poor, after a truly wonderful pass by man of the match Adel Taraabt. Apart from that I saw a very good debut from a very commited and skillful young player who we have brought for a song. To even start to compare him to Sinton or Sinclair is unfair, it was the lads 1st competitive match for us. Give him time to settle and gel, and we have a very talented player on our hands, who in my opinion will only get better.

The closest player who is able to judge what Taarabt is going to do and definitely a very good signing in the summer
