I really think he is a decent player, so unbelievable up for it, loved every second of it, and the passion he shows makes him our next gareth ainsworth...
Lots of comments about Mackie giving 100% and running through walls but ability wise is he actually a good footballer, does he have a good touch etc???

I know we won 4-0 and its the start of the season so there's lots of optimism but I just can't share all the "mackie walks on water" talk. He was good, solid. Better than Ephraim but not a patch on Routledge. Hard working, ran about a lot, a few nice touches but I remember Andy Sinton's debut and I'm sorry but the two players should not be spoken of in the same breath. Not quite sure why Mackie was played on the right and Hogan on the left so maybe in another position he would be more effective but whilst it was certainly a perfectly commendable debut I don't quite see him as all that yet. If we signed Macanuff, had Buz back and brought in Roberts and Chopra (I wish...) wd be surprised if he made the team.

Stainrod, Mackie is a totally different player to Sinton, and they shouldn't be compared, I agree. But in these days of players who cant be bothered to work and "play for the shirt" its refreshing to see someone who puts in 100%, and will I'm sure score a fair few goals this season, and create others.
Bottom line, we've only played 1 game, we'll see what we all think after 10 games.

W12ranger..
Was great to see Mackies celebration after he scored on saturday, he was going mental, he was so pumped up for it you wouldnt believe, thats where i draw my gareth ainsworth comparison from...
Hes a good player, looks like he is gonna mostly be a winger but you can see he's allways in the hunt for a goal, he has a strikers brain. In fairness i can see him getting into double figures even from midfield..
His control is fine, dunno why people were mentioning that, his attitude and 100% approach counts for alot cos he chases down lost causes and doesnt give the other team any time, he was getting at barnsley well and not giving them time...
Decent passer, didnt really put a foot wrong to be fair...Cant believe it, ive been PWOPER MUGGED ORF...
