  • Strong rumour in South Wales

QPR have made an offer for Chopra, I honestly have not been told how much that offer is for but maybe today we will learn more, but it is the clubs intention not to sell him as Gethin and DJ said yesterday but and there is always a but, every player has a price.

This has come from a very respectable source. Thought id let you know the rumours down here in Wales cos it concerns you.
Good luck in the new season

I doubt what we offer will be enough if this is true, it seemed we were struggling with Adel money wise but sorted it in the end.

NW on radio last night saying that Adel's fee was more realistic for a club like ours so i doubt yu'd get the millions that you would want for him - hope im wrong though

Im looking forward to St Georges day down your manor next year, going with a few welsh mates - guess who you have got???

      edit - who is gethin??
Thank **ck thats all over with !!! need a holiday!!!

Our new owner is indian. Current owners majority is indian. All billionaires. Chopra is indian. Might be willing to spend on a marquee indian.

I read somewhere that still owe money for Chopra and were behind in the installments to Sunderland. So whilst they don't want to sell they may well have to.
18th August 2011. The day we got our Rangers back

No I think Sunderland owed them so instead of paying £4 million they paid Sunderland something like £2 million and cleared the debt.

If this story about Vijay Mallaya coming on board has any truth, maybe it would be a statement of intent if we were to sign him!!

Cardiff have a transfer embargo and although they have signed Jason Koumas a few days ago he can't play for them until the embargo is lifted. To do that they need to get some cash in by selling players as it doesn't seem their new owners are going to put any more cash in to lift it.

I'm sure Chopra will be leaving, it's just a case of where?

The only downside if he comes to us is that it needs to be done quickly otherwise he'll be cup tied and won't be able to play for us in the League Cup Final !!
