Firstly - LoftforWords is my site, lock stock. Name, content, everything. The domain is registered to me and I pay for it. We left Sky and Rivals precisely so we could own our own sites.
Secondly - We do not have 100s of other moderaters for other football club sites. It is on the ClubFanzine platform which is essentially a group of about eight of us that didn't like being owned by Sky so went independent. Gav the Ipswich guy is tecnically minded so he designed the sites and those of us who wanted to run sites but didn't want to be with Sky and weren't technically good enough to design our own went with him. Bristol City Ipswich, QPR, Colchester, Rochdale, Macclesfield, Leeds, MK Dons, Arsenal and West Ham and that's about it. And only four or five or those have active message board communities. 100s? Do me a favour. It would only have taken you two minutes to click through and see which sites are active to show you what nonsense you're talking there but then why let facts get in the way?
Thirdly - I can count the number of visitors we have had from other clubs since we moved 18 months ago on the fingers of one hand. We have a Chelsea muppet, a decent lad from Blackpool who posts when we play them who joined when Gorkss signed and ipswich fans from their board when we play them and that's about it.
Fourthly - as for getting paid to work there, something you bring up a lot MYU, that's a joke as well. How much money do you think that site pulls in? seriously? The number of guests and members logging on each day is clear for all to see on the main board page - how much do you reckon advertising fetches for a group of that size? Then take off money for pictures, servers, hardware and software etc. I bet there's a similar amount down the back of your sofa.
That post is a pathetic work of fiction. If you're going to lie and make up bolox about me then at least make it interesting - Clive comes to every match in a magic rocket for instance, or Clive is about to quite his job to work as the producer on a new Radio Sheffield programme called 'Chris Morgan's Classical Music and Poetry Hour'.Last edited by CliveLFW; 13-05-2009, 09:32 PM.

Hello Clive and sorry for the late reply, I’ve been doing some editing for the last 3 to 4 hours and not been on here. (You should watch the first part of the video season 2002/03 if you haven't already.)
You are quite right I used the wrong name LFW instead of Clubfanzine. You do own the domain name for loftforwords and I know that, however I didn’t know about fanzine were letting you own the QPR site and you have to pay for your own server and other stuff that goes with it, so fair play to you if that’s the case?
I do know the domain LFW points to clubfanzine QPR, it’s not the official domain name because you can see it clubfanzine in the address bar and it’s owned by as you say Gav, him and his team own the company.
More..
All the fanzine websites have the same layout just as the Rivals were and there are many other websites like that about, it’s not easy keeping websites updated as I and you should know, I’m not knocking you for the work that you do, in fact all us QPR fans enjoy reading your articles Clive, you should be a proud man reaching the audience that you do.
When we go out football we talk to fellow fans and a few people have said Clive gets paid to update and moderate the site and why should you not, it’s damn hard work right? I also know someone who does the same thing as you and works for another site like clubfanzine and even he said it’s all to do with hits, it’s like what Clive does, again not my words.
It’s not something I have made up, why would I and I have nothing against you, in fact I don’t even know you in person, all I said is that you get paid, if it’s a penny or £200 a month so what, I was just saying that people who moderate sites like that get paid and hits are important. Company like fanzine generate large income through advertising so why would people moderate for free, I wouldn't’t on there and it’s not like the money is going to QPR, it will end up in your mate Gav’s pocket otherwise.
It’s the same thing when people go to games and when they come back they tell others what happened, it’s the same thing and I’m only saying what I’ve been told by others.
If you don’t get paid then you should on a site like that, why let Gav and his mates keep it?
You do a great job with the articles so keep up the good work, I didn’t mean to upset you like that so I apologise if that made your blood boil.

I've got to say to spout off on here about my personal financial situation based on your own incorrect opinions and stuff you've heard down the pub is unbelievably rude and totally out of order. I'm not an MP ripping off tax payers with expenses and my personal circumstances are no business of yours and certainly not something that you should feel able to report as fact on here.
You have had the nerve in the past and Pete has had the nerve this week to question moderation decisions on my site despite what happened with Paulo Sousa and yet you feel that my personal circumstances and financial situation are an acceptable topic for discussion on here. They're not, they're none of your bloody business and yet I've had to come on here and clarify the situation to stop you misleading people with your reams of bullsht about me.

He has apologised.
In regards to misleading, I could comment its misleading to represent that I personally had anything to do with Sousa leaving, but I guess we should move on.
You've made your point well and MYu has apologised, so don't see where we go from here to be honest. I'm sure he was basing his comments on what you have said in the past, this maybe before the changeALL BEST BANTER AND ALL THE LATEST FROM QPR.

LoftforWords is my ste, it runs off Clubfanzine's server because I'm not tecnically minded. I could take it elsewhere tomorrow and they could do nothing about it - as happened when newcastle left. Left one day, turned up on fansonline the next. They have no hold or ownersip of the sites, they belong to the publishers.
Wrong again MYU - why do you profess to know so much about something you clearly have no clue about? All publishers have an equal share i.e. their own site. Clubfanzine is not owned by gav or anybody else - it's owned by all the publishers together.
As I said originally those of us that enjoyed doing the sites but weren't technically minded needed gav to design a network for us and he's done a great job. That's why they all look the same.
I'm delighted to know that I'm such a hot topic of discussion on matchdays. In my group we like to talk about rangers, memories, days out, funny stories, the televised game etc but if you want to talk about me then that's terrific. If your friend thinks it's all about hits and money then good luck to him, my site is a labour of love, the money it generates could be earned doing a couple of shifts a month behind the bar at my local pub.
As above. The majority of the advertising revenue that the site generates goes towards equipment, photograph deals, techi help etc. All the stuff you have to ask for donations for. We bring money in through adverts and therefore our users don't have to pay anything.
No it's not, it's totally different. How can you possibly say tht coming back from a match and saying "Mahon was crap today" is the same as spreading lies, untruths and nonsense about the personal situation and finances of another QPR fan?

Yeh you have made it boil to be honest because it's none of your fckin business to start first of all and secondly you clearly have no idea what you're talking about.
