Queens Park Rangers Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of talented playmaker Adel Taarabt from Tottenham Hotspur.
The 21 year-old, who netted an impressive seven times in 41 appearances last term, has penned a three-year deal at Loftus Road, after the two Clubs agreed an undisclosed fee for his services.
Taarabt's signing represents a massive coup for the R's, and QPR boss Neil Warnock is relishing the prospect of once again linking up with a player who last season flourished during a second loan stint in W12.
"I'm glad to have finally tied Adel up," he told www.qpr.co.uk. "He's a player who has got a unique talent and I'm hoping that we can channel it for the good of QPR.
"I've been very patient and I've probably worn him down over the past few months! We're delighted to have him on board and he gives us that little bit of quality that you need.
"I think it's good for him that he knows where he's going to be permanently now. Long-term, his target is still to play at the very top level, and I'm hoping that we can help him to achieve that."
Taarabt, whose former boss, Harry Redknapp, once remarked, 'He's an amazing talent, I've not seen too many with that type of skill in my life. It's frightening,' is understandably delighted to have secured his long-term future with a permanent switch to the R's.
"I'm delighted to be back," Taarabt explained. "I had options to go elsewhere, but what Neil said to me was very positive and I've made the decision to join QPR.
"Over the past year, everyone at the Club has been great to me - it feels like home here.
"This is the first time in my life that I've had ambition. Before, I'd play football just to enjoy it, but now I've come to an age where I have to step up.
"I don't think there's a Manager that wants me as much as the Neil does. I feel the Club will move forward under him - I've come here because next year I want to play in the Premier League."
Taarabt will wear squad number 7 for the 2010/11 season.
QPR Player will be providing subscribers with an exclusive interview with Adel Taarabt in the coming days.
Fair play, the manager showed more patience than the fans (me included) and has pulled off a real coup. Well done Colin. Delighted about the three year aspect too - means we won't be under pressure to sell him on the cheap come the end of the season.

i highly doubt there isnt a clause in adel's contract about either us not being promoted or a big club making a bid.
