  • 4 year deal offered to Taarabt

QPR talks with Adel Taarabt hung in the balance today after the midfielder’s father advised his son to hold out for more money.

Typical. Nothing is ever straight forward at QPR. He's got to be near 20k a week

not just qpr - these things are never straight forward with any club - it just seems they are!

I bet most players and agents hold out for as much as they can. Hopefully this will all sort itself out soonest
I blew a lot on vodka and tonic, gambling and fags. Looking back, I think I overdid it on the tonic. - The one and only Stanley Bowles

If that is the case, go get more money somewhere else, if you can. I don't recall anyone else offering him a contract.

Yeah maybe leave him be... £20k per week is a lot of money

Absolute fantastic player but typifies the football player of today by just thinking about MONEY , its about time these players started thinking more about the football and EARNING the vast wages they get. Jesus these people dont realise how lucky they are , couldnt see any of them doing a normal job with normal wages, moan moan blah blah. JUST SIGN THAT F/KIN CONTRACT so the Taarabt signed boots i won a couple of months ago can gain some value.

Don't think any figures have been leaked regarding his wage.

It's not about wages - it's about the signing on fee. The Club want to pay it over 12 months, the player wants it paid straight away which he is totally entitled to.

If that's the case i'd leave him be, in fact i'd leave him be anyway.

Well this is written by the same person who said it was held up over the signing-on fee, so I would assume that the later story is correct.

You will notice from the link, that the first related story is the one about the signing-on fee, which was written this morning.

Getting the signing on fee is part of the transaction- I don't know of another player who's had to wait for all or any of it?
Anyone know of this happening before?
Strikes me as our owners trying to do something for which there is no precedent in football.

agree. dont understand what all the excitement is about. lets not forget his inability to play a simple pass and i think i would be right in saying football is a passing game... i mean even messi plays simple bloody passes cos he is not an idiot and understands football. you think we are just very lucky that spurs and nobody else want to sign him!?!? or you think perhaps they all know something you "very excited" bunch dont? lol
