Working on the same principle, you are looking at 6,000 empty seats week in week out, would you say the pricing is fair or over priced ?

Paul I actually agree with everything you have said on this thread.

No one can say any different.

Fulham have there price structure spot on and this has a happy fan base and more importantly adds an atmosphere. Going to LR has lost that buzz it once had and that is because of this ali russel gold silver and bronze bullsh it.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I'm happy now!, six new signings, I can sit in R block or any other area of the ground for the same price as last year, better owners, better manager, better players already ( without taking into account NW 'icing on the cake'). Happy days, bring on Saturday!

          Its catch 22.
As I said earlier, it is a flawed point of view and if the seats available dictate the price you charge per bum sitting on them, as Man Utd have nearly 80,000 seats, why dont they only charge £10 a game ?

          Thoughts ?

our prices are too high... i honestly think even if we got 2 good strikers in.... Chopra and Fryatt (wishful thinking i know!) i dont think there would be a sudden rush for season tickets... simple fact is some people are unable to afford..

We dont sell many tickets because were in competition for fans with clubs all over london FACT

If we were in on our own some where with 1 other club we would sell as many season tickets.

£25 for 90 mins live entertainment in London is fair. What QPR need to do is go back to the good old days where you paid one price for any area apart from directly behind the directors box. Move the family area away from the Loft and get rid of gold, silver, bronze etc.

I agree, so you should question the logic of the smart person who decided it was the correct policy to charge more to watch a lesser product, as that's the economics or a mad person.

The problem is you get football fans that don't really follow a side that are from the west london area. They might be eastern european they might have just moved to the country.

That fan is NOT going to be attracted to watch QPR when he can go to Fulham on a bus ride and watch premiership football for less money and that is where we are missing out. We won't gain new fans with the current price that is the highest in the division.

Manchester United and many premiership clubs just rip of their fans, because they spend big and thats why many are looking to increase capacities. You only have to look at Liverpool who are the latest club to linked to move away from Anfield with a bigger capacity.

If we had big stadium, I would expect lower prices.

Reality is you are right we have got the pricing structure wrong, many fans see no point in buying season tickets, even though I suspect the attendances will be up on last season, as most will go on a match by match basis.

Though don;t think its easy to say lets sell 10,000 season tickets at £400 or £500, as I still don't think we would have sold them.

If we go up, you'll have supporters finding ways of getting 700-£800 for a premiership season ticket, its called market forces .

Man Utd have traditionally been the cheapest premiership club for ST's and match day prices but then they have a premium product. Despite our rose coloured glassess QPR are not a premium product at the moment. When we get back to the premiership next season we will sell out ST's whatever price they are. Cost is not the overiding facxtor when choosing to go the the football. Entertainment, the crack, a day away from the missus all counts!

Also many compare our prices with Fulham, but they are 200 million in debt.

                                ???

As of the 30th of June 2009, Fulham’s gross debt stood at an enormous £207 million, which is the fifth highest in the Premier League, only behind the so-called Big Four. However, only £12 million of this debt comes from commercial bank loans with the vast majority (£196 million) owed to the owner via a number of group companies. Al Fayed’s generosity is highlighted by the “soft” nature of the debt with the £183 million loans from the parent company being interest-free, which really helps the club’s financials
