    1968 QPR vs Leicester City‏

    Morning,

First of all I’d like to thank you so much for having this footage on your website. I found it yesterday and I can’t quite believe what I have been able to view after all these years. My Dad played for QPR at right back on that day. Robert Finch. Or Bob Finch as David Coleman calls him!

For my brother and I to have finally found this game means so much to us as our Dad died shortly after I was born in 1978. So for me seeing moving images of him for the first time was amazing. I can’t stop watching it.

Thanks again for this website post. Truly an amazing find.

    Yours thankfully

              looked this up on Wikipedia

Robert "Bobby" Finch was an English professional footballer who played in the Football League for Queens Park Rangers.[1] Finch also played in South Africa for Cape Town City, before dying of meningitis on 18 September 1978, at the age of 30.[2]
