If we play a 4-4-2 with Tarbs up front like at Selhurst then yes, although perhaps not for every game. If it's a 4-3-3 with Tarbs and Mackie up and Buz deeper then I'm doubtful.

The thing with Buz is should a good player really always be this much of a pain in the backside to fit into a team? I know there's the Riquelme argument in his favour.

Of course also remeber Derby away, Buz, Adel, Faurlin and Routledge (if only we still had him, what a midfield we would still have) they tore theme to shreds at times that night.

To play tarbs and buzz you need to play 4-5-1 to accomidate Derry, and at this current point in time we havnt got a striker good enough to play up top on his own!
So with the players we have at the mo no they can't

They did play well in the same side in a number of games last season i.e. through the purple patch in Sept & October, most of the game against Coventry at home, until Magilton subbed Taarabt and lost 2 points.

And of course against Palace at SP.

As long as Derry (or Mahon - if he returns) is in a holding role I see real reason why not.

I've said yes because obviously then can but will we be successful every match? Depends on where you play them IMO. I don't think Taraabt should be given any defensive duties. Did Ozil have any in the World Cup? But if you play him on the same wing at Hill then we could have problems. He won't defend and Hill is too slow.

It would (hopefully will) be lovely for Warnock to have such quandries!

Nope I completely agree with you.

If you are right about Bednar then I think it could work but with the current crop of strikers it would be a risk at the best of times. As for Mackie he'll definitely start which leaves Taraabt even playing AM and Buzsaky on the right or vice versa which leaves Taraabt with defensive duties which is risky IMO.

With a holding midfielder such as Derry then yes off course we can and to think we were screaming to play 4-4-2 a while back under Sousa, now we all want to revert back to 4-5-1

Of course they can. And I doubt any team will relish playing against their combined creative talents.

Where is Paul by the way, has he taken the other ball home ?
