Forum ideas & suggestions

We are not changing anything at present and only looking for feed back from members to see what you would like?

Some fans want to discuss QPR in a serious manner without silly comments or hi-jacking by others users, how do we go about this problem?

We've thought of a few idea's and would like to see what you think and what you would like, if members are happy with the way the board is then we'll keep it as it is.

Option 1:

Create a new forum for paid members £5 to £10 per year to access so you can discuss QPR with all other paying members.

Option 2:

Create a new forum for members that have made over so many posts who can access that forum.

The main QPR forum will always remain open for all members, nothing will change there.

If you have any other suggestions then please post below and we can look into them.

please dont go down that route as you will divide fans even more so.

imo its a case of a different approach to moderation.

clamp down on users who hijack threads, ensure constant moderation is in order. dont go about with ordering points or telling the forum you have these rules etc..

if a user attacks another - warn them, if they persist just ban them for a period of time.

my biggest problem is not duplicate topics as i feel that is reasonably moderated.

problem comes when one user has one point of view and another disagree's. thus leading to an ego war on a thread about who is right or wrong. thats the stuff that needs to be stopped.

i reckon a change of theme might also make things abit less cloggy..

You didn't read it Jeffro, we are asking for suggestions, this site will not change to use our site and will always remain free.

That's an option for those who want to pay that allows them to discuss in a paid area with other paid members, they will be able to post on both sections.

Some people do not post because they feel they will be attacked, we are trying to look at other ways we can encourage more QPR fans to post.

Last thing we want to do is divide fans and that's the reason for this thread, nothing may change and we could leave it as it is.

If we don't discuss this then we will never know what the members want.

just keep away fans from spamming the main thread and i feel that's all you can really do.. you cannot stop people who disagree with a poster from airing their views

No one, will ever pay £5-£10 to post. It's like an exclusive area where they think they will get more intelligent converstion.
Just my opinion.
Cracking down on the likes of HA9/Tom1987 and the multiple ID's is all thats needed really.

Do you need the other 10 forums that nobody posts in? I prefer to have one forum for all but if you are to have two one for football and one for general.

Isnt there a reputation system on this board? People who have positive reputation can post on the sensible board, those who dont aren't allowed to. I dont agree with that system, but it would work
