It could well be spin. It could well be that Warnock decided the numbers and he wants to sign a traditional number 2 and number 7. Or it could be that with Routledge gone players from last season wanted to keep their old numbers and that Ramage wanted 22 which is the day he was born. Who knows it might for once not be a ploy to sell STs. Unless you are telling me that people buy STs based on the fact that we don't have a number 2 or 7?

Sometimes when I look at squad numbers I think off them as a demonstration of the regard a club holds a player.

Stewart, Vine & Ageymang have all lost there's for example. Whilst Sir Pie is right that you shouldn't read into them too much there is still something given away by them when they are announced at the start of the season.

Hopefully if the rumours are true then those positions will be filled by the end of the week and it won't be spin. However I am saying (hoping) that for once the club isn't full of spin and that either Warnock has decided those numbers or because deals are about to be announced. I'm not being optimistic or realistic I am just saying that it doesn't always have to be spin. We've had a lot of it for the past couple of seasons under Briatore/Paladini but hopefully under Warnock and Amit things have changed. Hopefully.

But why is it with every decision the club makes you decide its some conspiracy to fleece our fans...

Perhaps they intend to fill those shirts with orr, adel, or mcnuffsaid but as yet we havent officially signed any of them so thats why there names cant be put on the squad list.

Maybe it's more spin than Ajantha Mendis but for once it could just be something else. Say an an agreed deadline of when to make the announcement and because the i's haven't been dotted we could announce who will wear number 2 or 7? As I said maybe Warnock chose the numbers and it's his way of saying to the board we lack players.

Hopefully in a few hours Orr will be announced and we can then believe for once that we weren't being spun.

Adel will always sulk as all top flair players do, Bar messi.

Ronaldo always throwing his toys out, Ronaldinho loves a moan. Its part of a flair players game. Im to young to have seen stan bowles, but my old man tells me stories about him.

Taarabt is by far the best player I have seen at QPR since the early 90s. And if he was to sign would be head and shoulders above any championship player.

Well said Jeffro.

You know his constant battering of Taarabt a player is starting to grate on many a poster.

Paul seems to think he is a bit of an authority on the game yet the way he'd have us playing would have supporters cashing in our season tickets left, right and centre.

Adel's attitude is constantly questioned by him by I see a non drinking, religious and community man who has only demonstrated a degree of petulance on the pitch and been a bit naive listening to his agent off it. The way he goes on you'd have thought AT had been reported in the tabloids on some sort of assault or sex charge, whilst falling out of nightclubs at 3am every night.

We question players confidence / ambitions all the time but here we have a 20 year who has it in abundance. So we are not Adel's preferred choice of club, I can totally understand but if we are lucky enough to secure his signature then I have no doubt he'll go on to be a Rangers Legend who will be fully committed to the club.

To sign for QPR will be a career defining moment for Taarabt who due to his personality has made it difficult for managers to give the sort of time to nuture his ability, unless of course he drops down a level and comes and plays for a manager like Warnock, then watch him fly.

Well Mr Mason our resident authority on football seems to have a massive issue against Taarabt and has lead a one man vendetta against him all summer yet doesn't even know what foot he plays with. I just find it quite ironic for someone who has scrutinsed and criticised the lads performances on the pitch on a constant basis wouldn't know that.
