I have always been a QPR fan since the age of 7 and am now 51.I was fortunate enough to be of a reasonable standard footballing wise, and therefore missed years of watching QPR...because i played on Saturday afternoon.

That really stopped about10-11 years ago, although i did manage a local Saturday and Sunday morning team....but they have both stopped now.

I had a season ticket for only 2 years. My problem being,I couldn't get to all the home matches.

Even now as i speak(or type) due to other local commitments, work and other family things(boring to mention) I can only manage approx 10 homes games a season.Which is good for me.

In a perfect world...I would like to watch QPR every week.My hats go off to fans that travel home and away...as i would like to do that.

    But..i manage my 10 or so games a season....for which i consider myself a true fan....not a fairweather one.

I would love us to make some high profile signings.....but it would not influence me in the slightest as i would still travel to QPR who ever was playing. Many a time I have travelled home on the train...wondering why the s..t do I do this...only to do the same next time.

Football fans are a strange bunch...

I wish I could justify the cost of a ST knowing I will only watch about 10 games (even less this season with so few home fixtures in midweek), but I can't.

It doesn't make me less of a supporter.

Well done to those who did purchase one, and I hope you are enjoying the football. Long may it continue to be as enjoyable.

It's strange, i've heard some people say they buy one to save money, others will buy one knowing they will be unable to attend a lot of games but just because they want to secure their seat - Seems like it may have been a good idea if we are to be promoted and tickets sell fast for next season, of that we can only see when the time comes though.

PREMIER LEAGUE 2011 - ETERNITY (Oh well got that wrong, we'll be back though)

Not many of us have £500 lying spare just to secure a seat.

A ST only saves money if able to watch nearly all of the games.

But with work, kids, holidays, parties (kids) etc, some of us can only watch about 10-12 games, which equates to spending £50-60 per game.

If we`re top still at Christmas, we`ll get the 9000+ required ST`s. We all know if we`re on the verge of going up everyone will be snapping up ST`s

Hindsight is obviously a wonderful thing, but it is funny to read that original post now and see just how short sighted it is!!!

If your reason for not renewing is down to money and or other commitments then fair enough.

OMG we r top of the league scored 17 goals in 6 2 conceded, are bookies favourites to go up, have a quality manager in place and good backers in the board room. The player blend seems spot on and in Tarabt we have the best player for style in the league ...................... and you go on about the 9000 ST discount, FFS mate

Because of work commitments I couldn't justify buying a season ticket. That said I have still been to over half our games already. And just bought my ticket for Millwall on Tuesday night. I don't think owning a season ticket makes you "more of a fan". I think attending as many games as you can, at a cost you can afford makes you a very good supporter of your club.
