Arguably Scotland hasn't cut it in the Premiership so can't be regarded as a Premiership striker and neither can Ebanks-Blake both I believe are better than Blackstock but I believe Blackstock is better than the likes of Vine, Agyemang, Pellicori, Helguson and Clarke. I've said all summer that we need a quartet of strikers and Blackstock would have been a far better option either from the start or coming off the bench than those mentioned above. It seems that we are now trying to sign players that we already had - why do we need McAnuff when we already had Routledge? Why do we need Clarke when we had Blackstock?
I agree with your post and the point I highlighted I think you are spot on.

For me however I see Clarke being a better striker than Blackstock. I know statistics don't prove that but Clarke will be a better team player.
He will hold the ball up better and I think if we played 1 upfront then out of our current strike force he should be the man that starts.

Helguson, Vine and Aygemang are proven failers. Everytime I have seen Clarke for Wed I have been impressed. He also has a very good touch something you could say was a very weak part in Blackstocks game. Being a centre back that has played at a decent level I know which one I would prefer to mark.

So Clarke is decent back up if we can bring in Jason Scotland.

Scotland is a real handful and I would love us to sign him.

I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

was never a big fan of camp or blackstock. both flatter to decieve and neither will ever have any more success (which was nish) than they did with us in their careers imho.

and as for ffs its nearly august, yep it is and our first team and squad is looking very stable and strong. defence looks great, midfield and front line will be bang on once mcanuff puts pen to paper. all we need is another striker, and that really is all we need with neil warnock as manager to gain promotion.

Looks really strong and stable, defence looks great, what exactly are you basing that on??? Tiverton town..Hayes & Yeading fc, Torquay...Wow they really are a good barometer of the level we will play next season..

Once Mcanuff puts pen to paper...Nothing tells me he will.. If anything, Reading denied we have even bid or that he has asked to leave..

Another Striker... Hahaha been waiting 4 years for "another Striker"

Anyway, how's Heart of Midelothian team looking?

            1) the defence wasnt to terrible last year and with the new keeper, orr and hill will only be miles better.

            2) check this yet again.

            3) once the striker arrives (which he will), we have clarke as sub 1, henderson as sub 2 and agemayng as sub 3, not bad at all for any ccc club.

            4) the h.of.m side is looking so good im actually more excited and optimistic for the barnsley game than i have been since when we were last in the top flight.

              Henderson as sub 2???
New striker, so you are saying 2 more strikers to come in..

Cuckoo land, though i find you entertaining.

It's not our problem only. There has been lack of key transfers in the market so far. The only club that has made good sognings is Middlebrough.

which ever way you look at it Mcanuff is a poor mans Routledge
we are MUCH weaker than last season although we do have a better manager
mid table mediocrity unless Amit gets his thumb out of his #### and starts backing Warnock financially
Owned by Billionaires for years and STILL havent broken our transfer fee record...says it all really
Plenty of money...but with little ambition and no commitment.
Bernie's comments the other day sum them all up completely

one out and out striker will join qpr in the next two weeks or ill eat my scarf, might not be a pretty one, but there deffo will be one.
and once hes worn down the defence with his power in the couple of games that we are not coasting, we can bring on clarke or henderson or agemayng to nick the goal that wins the game or gets us a valuable away draw.
its like that and thats the way it is.

oh and about routledge, i know for a bona fide stone wall fact he HAD to go, he hatd it here and he whinged more than your three year old does when you lock it in the car for 8 hours in the pub car park with one bottle of coke and one bag of crisps.

any of them three could score if used as a sub cos they would all be bursting to score cos they all have something to prove.
clarke to get a first team place, and the other two to get a move to another ccc club and not the conference.

no point bringing in more deadwood to try to placate the fans
spend the money and bring in a decent striker.......fed up getting rejects and cast offs
Imagine the shock if we ever get a striker that we really did "win the race for" or is chased by other championship clubs with ambition?
