I think the we got everything we deserved with the Ambrose deal and it showed our owners up to be the Charlatans they are.

w12 ranger, mate from the sound of things Ambrose never wanted to come here anyway! At one point he thoought he had to cos palace excepted our bid, but when it became clear they were successfully able to get out of admin and offer him a new contract his first port of call was to stay at palace if he could.

Mcinufsaid is a good player, and reading as a club are in a totally different position to palace, financially they are stable and dont have to accept our money, for them it will be the complete oppisite to palace and Ambrose because if rumours are to be believed Jobi would like a move, therefore its now Readings duty to get as much as they can. They were allways gonna turn down our first bid.
Cant believe it, ive been PWOPER MUGGED ORF...

They did and tried their luck this way with Ben Watson before he went to Wigan. Also we released clauses in Buzsakys, Routledges and Kennys contracts.

Whilst it may pay dividends to demonstrate prudence in the transfer market up to now we have been making a right pigs ear of transfer dealings on the whole as the dross has outweighed the good by a ratio of about 5:1. Who can forget the £1million ghost bid for Hooper at the start of last season which was fully denied by S****horpes Chairman despite Paladinis lies to the media.

W12, Doncaster have spent the same as us in the transfer market, possibly more if someone can be bothered to check.
                Now that paints a picture.

w12 dont you think it may have something with palace not wanting to do business with us? or didnt that enter your thought, Palace would never have sold watson to us, jordon wouldnt do business with Dowie unless it was only option funny how you only see what you want to see

No I think has more to do with the fact that we refused to up our bid to a fair valuation, this has nothing to do with Jordon.

Look at our track record not the individual case we have been ****ing other clubs over transfer fees since the takeover. If we'd have doubled our bid Ambrose would be a QPR player, once it became clear we were the only club in for him and wouldn't up the bid he committed his future to Palace.

Palace fans may like to deal in the romanticism that Ambrose only wants to play for them but its ****** and I would apply the same logic to any of our players given a similar situation. We are talking about footballers here and Ambrose was just looking after No.1 hence the reason they have had to match our offer of wages.

On one player who decided to stay at the one club where he has recently had success at after years of jumping from club to club and failing.

Agreed. If Ambrose loved Palace he would of even needed to have sorted himself out with a better deal and he wouldn't have spent months not saying anything. If he loved Palace he would have understood their financial problems (they still have problems despite the takeover) and would have also come out the day they stayed up and said I'll be here next season. Instead he waited and waited until he got himself a better deal.

No, no, no...you're wrong. ANYONE who's EVER played or even been to Palace loves them and their fans. Don't you know...
                            Your mum would love me...
