2005/6 13440 - Would I be correct in assuming the 50% increase in ST prices in some areas of Loftus Road came into affect this season ?

I know 5 people who stopped going because of that increase. It don't mean they do not support QPR FC anymore, they just don't go to watch them week in week out.

Don't know maybe you should find out and enlighten us.

My ST in the Platinum Area in 2006/7 was £465. That is slightly less than Norwich's most expensive ticket now.

Your actually now pinpointing price increases pre takeover. I think you need to get some perspective and stop being so pedantic.

It would actually cost me more to get my ST at Norwich and considerably more for me to bring my nipper, only cost £399 for both in JU. In saying that I have had an ST for over 20 years and renew because that is the habit, loyalty (whatever you want to call it) me and my mates have got into.

So pre Flavio price increases and subsequent post Flavio price increases, which make us the 8th? highest prices to watch a game of football in England is conducive to bigger ST sales ?

Also, their was no platinum seats in 2006/7.

For Christ sake get a life Paul, if it makes it easier for you to understand my seat which was in the Platinum part of the ground in 2006/7 cost £465.

Ali Russel introduced the Bronze, Silver, Gold and Pompous Prcik seating categories, so I'm wondering where were you sitting in the 2006/7 season, and like me, were you just sitting in the center of SAR ?

Think Norwich is a poor example to use mate. They are team in a vast catchment area, unlike us.They also don't have to compete with near neighbours like Chelsea,Fulham,Arsenal,Tottenham,West Ham and a host of Championship teams downwards.

Should have used someone like Blackburn as they have to compete with bigger teams in Manchester and so on.

Would have been a more accurate example IMO.

Teams like Norwich will always have it easier to sell tickets than many teams. Also they are a team with a good history of top division football.

It is also cheaper now to take your kids (which as has been said is the future of the club) I have renewed and also renewed my daughters ST it costs on average just over £20-00 for the pair of us to watch a home game. As we go to most aways as well the cost of going to HQ is far cheaper. I mean take Sheff Utd in a couple of weeks £34-00 for me and £12-00 for her = £46-00 now that is scandalous!

They sold 22000 season tickets last year and were in division 1 - sell out every year promoted or not

Lots things to consider mate...the catchment area for Norwich is far greater than ours, we're completing with a whole bunch of clubs! We are based in London remember!

They don't offer under 8's for free, their cheapest adult tickets were £442 ours was £450, so not much in it really.... Their fans are more loyal than many of ours...lets be honest. I am sure our wage & transfer budgets are greater than theirs.

What I will say they have done well with is the prices for the different age groups, it is more structured than ours.

All in all though, this doesn't make our pricing too ridiculous in my opinion.

Time will tell of course, if NW manages to secure a quality striker before the season starts or even before the end of August then we could be in for a great season.
