Went away Norwich two years ago when Rowly scored with a freekick.
Good atmosphere up there as well.
      Nice club

Forget the two club in East Anglia theory as to why 20,000+ ST's have been sold, as if the prices were considered as being too expensive at Norwich, they would not go, just like Jeffro and thousands of other QPR fans have decided not to get a ST at W12 this year.

Paul, the point being even with the 20,000 sold at lower prices it far exceeds our 7,000 odd sold at our higher price.

We also are a smaller club and ground allocation for QPR supporters is around 15,000 maximum, and you have regulations whereby you need availability on match days

The point is they have priced their ST prices so there are no empty seats at home games, with every available seat sold contributing to the bottom line by buying programs, scarfs and other crappy goods from the shop, as well as food and drink.

If QPR FC operated the same fair and affordable pricing policy, they too would sell out.

You don't know that, that's assumption.

I don't think we would, regardless of what our crowds were in League 1. Incidentally it was only final season in League 1 which saw crowds of 16k every week, you know the one when it looked like we'd get automatically promoted all season after losing the PO Final the year before.

Our crowds fell away long before the Takeover, 3 years infact.

I suggested the lower school end was made available to U18's only, for £10 which would get them in plus plus a burger (they would then pay more money for the chips and coke). Every kid with naff all to do on a Saturday would have gone with their mates, irrespective to who they supported, but in the long run, they would be R's and would pay full whack in the future.

That is a great idea, but the so called brilliant business brains at W12, price the U18's out totally.

no point making excuses for our poor sales, we have an expensive set of corporate managers and spend plenty on marketing. simple qpr are doing a really bad job of creating a desirable product at an appropriate price. the result is that we are down to the core and a few newbies and the core is being whittled away

There are people on here that defend the indefensible and the question I cant understand is why.

What do you do when teams want to bring 3k with regard to the School End idea?

How many have done that over the last 3 seasons and why would you want to let them when you can fill it with your own fans......... like Norwich do ?

This is the main reason why many ST holders have not renewed, because away fans don't come any more since our £50 idea v Derby and we do kids for a quid and family of four for a score gimmicks.

Below are our average crowds from the past 8 seasons

                              2002/3 13206
                              2003/4 14784
                              2004/5 16055
                              2005/6 13440
                              2006/7 12936
                              2007/8 13958
                              2008/9 14003
                              2009/10 13348

With the exception of the year we got promoted and our first season in the CCC our support has hovered between 13-14k. The only reason crowds were on the up was due to the seasoned glory hunter who only appears when things are going well. Even with the dodgy QPR attendance frauds back in the day our crowds have always been consistent. I cannot understand why so many people are convince if we dropped ST prices crowds would go up dramatically, it will be the performances on the pitch which will do that hence there is no need to drop ST prices. I want ST prices reduced because they to high but they will not increase attendances much if lowered. We've a hardcore support and a few thousand glory hunters who will turn up when times are good that's the bottom line.

                              * Also Paul using Norwich is a poor example even the season they were relegated they were averaging 20k+, compare that to us when we were struggling in the CCC and our crowds started falling when ST prices were cheap.
