  • Reasons to be Cheerful

No i havent been on the Vino, christ its only half 7!
Seriously though i know the majority are really cheesed off at the moment but i do believe we have the neucleus of a good side.
We now have 2 excellent keepers fighting for the No.1 shirt although unless Pads gets injured he'll no doubt be first choice, still good to have Cerny as back up.
Orr should sign, and with Hill as a natural left back we will have a solid defence, add to that Derry sitting in front of them tidying up, we could be really hard to break down.
Then in front of Derry we will have a quartet of Mackie, Faullin, Buzsacky and hopefully Macanuff. Now not many sides in our division will have that sort of quality, range of passing and dead ball skill.
Then up front we DO still lack that bit of class, but HH has scored goals everywhere he's played, except QPR. So if we give him quality service he has proved over the years that he is capable of hitting the net.
More plusses i see are for the first time in a long time we have leaders. Men with balls, not boys who will turn it on when everythings going their way. We have men who have proved over the years they dont give a hoot about reputations, they will go oop north 'on a cold february night' and get well and truly stuck in. We have tough lads who will do the dirty work and allow our flair players do their stuff.
The season is 9 months long, time for NW to poach a striker on loan if he aint getting a game for his prem side, or if one becommes available.

I have been dissapointed at the lack of BIG names to arrive but id rather be us then most CCC sides.

Decent post but you f**ked up very early on. Hill a natural left back? That's about as natural as powdered milk.

I really couldn't care if it was the best, or the worst mate. Hill is not a natural left back, just as Rambo isn't a natural right back.

Other than that, it's a decent post, as I said.

Hill isn't a natural left back but he's played there a lot under warnock

I think he'll be fine there, reason being, the formation we will be playing 4-3-3. Derry and the back four won't be pushing up that much, so all Hill will have to do is defend. Can't really have attacking full backs with 4 forward minded players in the first 11 (Mackie, Buzz, STR, Hogan).
15 years in the wilderness will be a distant memory come Sunday 8th May 2011.

Orr, McAnnuf and two strikers and I'll be a happy bunny.

Hill isnt a natural LB though

im sorry killer still lays with not having an outright full back for leftback and missing quality in the striking department.

no idea where the goals are gonna come from with this current squad.
Soldier: "im on reconnaissance sir.. im looking for our camouflage expert.. have you seen him?"
                            Lovejoy: "No?!"
Soldier: "GOD DAMNIT THAT GUYS GOOD!"
