The R's Travelled To Anfield On The 30th March 1991 And Shocked Liverpool Who Were Fighting For The League With Arsenal By Winning 3-1

I think it is the only time we have ever won there, although the 2-2 draw in the semi felt like a win.

        Legendary day out.

Clive "one touch" Wilson, Wegerle..... oh the memories.

I've got the VHS video of this game and I'm on it at half-time.

This was back in the day that I used to run the odd bit of transport to away games for 10 - 18 of us. We chose this one purely for the day out and expected to get rolled over on the pitch and possibly in Staney Park afterwards.

        How wrong we were.

The team were immense and the Mickey Mouser's just couldn't handle us loving it in the away end. Minor pitch invasions after every goal and the plod with 3/4 length snooker cues were a bit lively.

The lager, vodka and jack n jills flowed all day.

        Ah the memories.........

        :drunk:

              Outrageous decision, great days though
I blew a lot on vodka and tonic, gambling and fags. Looking back, I think I overdid it on the tonic. - The one and only Stanley Bowles

Yeah I was there going mental in the away end. The year before I think we were winning 1-0 and just before half time we (Colin Clarke?) had a goal disallowed, the mickeys got their usual dodgy penalty and we either lost or drew.
So when Roy Wegerle tucked that 2nd one in from a tight angle we were all waiting for some c**t of a lino to flag him off!
Triffic day out, few beers in the pub with some decent scousers (shock) before, and after, although outside the pub we got told to "fook off back to Chelsea you ****ts" which wasn't well received
Bradley Allen hit the bar in the last minute too.

I tell you something else that always gets forgotten -- that Andy Tilson was a silky centre back!

Used to love the way Jan would roll the ball out to him to start play and he'd often do the Roeder shuffle to beat a striker!

I remember when we signed Andy Tillson and Darren Pea**** who made their debuts at Derby. Nobody knew who was who until when the players were warming up, we sang "Theres only one Darren Pea****" to find out!
"Ah-thats Pea**** then", when he waved to us!

                          That's right.

I recall Howe and GOuld signing those two and Rufus Brevett in a couple of weeks and everyne thinking "WHO?" - they turned out to be super (a la Wilkins) players for us.

here's hoping NW can work similar magic.

                          I love nostalgia!

Andy sinton from Brentford, this board would be in meltdown if we signed someone from brentford now.
