We have got a posters called Stan Bowles, Sir Les, Rodney and Stainrod on here (which are obviously not the real deal) not hiding just a username. By using a username it means that that anything he says is not accountable, when they want that they will make official statements. Until they do that everything is rumour which messageboards thrive on.

Because it takes a while for things to get out to the press, and the owners see no need for it when they can simply directly communicate with the supporters.

It is quite simple really, while it is on a messageboard is just confined to those readers and not open to scrutiny in the press. That is why clubs have official websites to pass on official information. Read any clubs rumours and the same thing is said, it is only a rumour till it is on the Official. Why don't you ask this question, why don't CPFC2010 use your official club site for these statements ?

Jams you know nothing at all about the Press from your classroom.
I have been involved with the press for the last 10 years or so (not just a reader like you) and apart from actual announcements (Press Releases) a lot is made up just to get the readers so believe what you want.

Nearly everything that happens in football is followed by a press release but whether a paper feels it is important enough to print is entirely up to them, it is said you can usually tell the difference.

Seeing is believing and is the only true way to tell.
