Why Worry?

Hi,

Been a member for a long while but generally don't post much.

However I have noticed lots of Doom and gloom posts about do we trust the board !

I guess in princible we always need to remember that good businessmen will not want to turn QPR into a money losing machine. This makes good sense not just for them, but for us as we have seen too many clubs go to wall and I am pleased not to be a Portsmouth fan.

However, looking at the players we brought in !! I would say we have gone for some real good players(for this level). Also.. they will not be on cheap wages.

The point is, we may not of spent 10 million this summer. However. How much would this team cost to build if we had to buy them?

Personally I feel we need about 3 players to make this a winning team. I also feel lots of championship clubs are yet to make the big signings.

Nice post, but a little way off the mark IMO.

I feel we're a proper LB, proper RB, a proper Right Winger, a real, out and out goal scorer and an impact striker off being where the likes of Boro are. If we manage to sign McAnuff, Orr, Spur (yes - I rate him), Henderson and a player like Hooper, then yes - We're on fire.

Nice sunny outlook for a change. But to answer your question that team wouldn't cost much at all. It already has 4 frees in there and if many of the others moved they would also be free. Some might be difficult to sell at that price (I am not joking - hence we have a back room full off muppets who don't play!). Your estimate of three players being needed is about 2 short in my opinion if we want to win but may not be so far off the mark to "get by". Fair to say many of the others can do a job. They could plod us along. But to win games we are going to need more up front and be able to stop the better teams.
