  • Briatore's involvement

Well I have seriously thought from day 1 that the whole Mittal's taking over and Briatore selling his shares was more of a cover up than anything.

Whilst it's quite obvious that Amit has come to the front and is the new face of the big cheese's, I still think and am convinced that Flavio is still having a bigger say than we all expect.

Reason being is that, 2 parts of flav's reign were:

    1) Unbelievable arrogance, boutique, chandelliers, C club and all that stuff

    2) MONEY: The lack of investement in the squad and signing of free transfers and on the cheap.

Part 1 is not pushed anymore with Amit trying to get back in touch with the standard paying fan like ourselves.

Part 2 is still very much evident.

People will say, well how come Warnock has brought in who HE wants, I mean Kenny, Hill and Derry all played in the past and are clearly his signings.

But it just seems like he's been told something like

"Ok Neil, well we have got the fans on our side now as it looks like Flav is no longer running the show, but in reality he is. We arent going to spend much, as Flavio refusses to, so in order to keep up the pretence that he's not in charge etc; we will let you sign your players, BUT.... only ones who are out of contract or very very cheap, with the exception of Kenny, who then looks like a BIG signing"

Warnock has always used youth and bought in Free transfers, so he's not bothered, Flav is happy because no money is being spent, and we are supposedly happy because it looks like we have a manager buying who HE wants, not Flavs/Paladini's choices!!

Otherwise Neils real targets would be here.... Taarabt, Beattie, Hooper, Mcanuff, Ambrose... all cost doe, which he cant spend!!

Flav is more involved than we think....

People/business men with ego's the size of the orange one DO NOT just sell shares after a few moans & groans from some beer monsters in South Africa Rd..... One step away from a jackpot in the Premiership & he just sells up?....Yea right.... He is pulling all the strings...and pulling our pants down at the same time...

This is my point and I am starting to see a few people saying from both opinion and sauces that Briatore is more than involved...
Signings this pre season have been identical stature-wise as back end of last season.

Yep he's a shrewd dude...Put in a lot of input with regards to finance, backers, renovation why would he just sell up? Ridiculous

no way would he just walk away
too much of an ego maniac
He is still behind the scenes and thinks ALL our fans are gullible enough to swallow it
He's taking the **** out of us.

It was all very strange when the so called takeover happen.

There was nothing on the official regarding who owns what.

All very strange but I guess it worked because it kept the fans quiet.

The game before it was announced I was sitting in SA and flav did take some fair stick. Something needed to be done but I definately think Flav has more pie than most actually are led to believe.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Come on people... Jeff I expect more from you. I agree he still has involvement but not like it was before. Seriously fella that is so far from what is coming from players mouths. In fairness I actually like the way we are being run. There is nothing wrong with being forced to live within your means. People forget that rich people don't get rich by throwing money away. I don't like spending money I don't have so WHY should QPR do it. We were in the shambles we were in because of bad management of finances. Look what has happened to other clubs and I am sure that there will still be more to follow that trend! Our owners are rich but that doesn't mean QPR are rich!

Not true - at Sheff Utd spent fortunes every season, usually on 4-5 strikers!!

I would love to know the real reason why all the rich owners are involved with QPR.

We now know for a fact (based on the last 4 years performance in the league and transfer market) that it is not for footballing reasons.

The only things I can think they are in it for are for the value of the Loftus Road land and/or as a vehicle to launder money.

Further question, if Briatore is still running the show, how much does Uncle Paladini really have to do. Is there a cover up there too?

I can understand your reasoning btu the reality is the signings we've made has Neil Warnock written all over them. Maybe Neil is more a team manager and he might surprise us, like Holloway did for Blackpool last season.

it is worrrying that Hall, Helguson, Ageymang and Vine are still at the club.

Interestingly Ambrose, Tarrabt and Speroni were all mentioned as wanted by Warnock. Yet none have materialised. Is this because they would actually command a transfer fee?

Why are the owners so TIGHT? It is not as if they are struggling for a few quid. I can understand them not going crazy and splashing £8million on a player, but if they gave me £8 million budget to spend I would get us promotion. We are only about 4 players away from a chmapionsip challenging squad. At the moment, mid table at best.

Speroni if he goes anywhere will be premiership.

They went to Morrocco rfor Tarrabt so can hardly be blamed for not getting him, though wispers today say the deal might be back on, as club in France pulled out of deal.

Ambrose won't accept 10k a week at Palace in my opinion
