  • I wonder.........

........... If NW managed to get Two Ball (no one else wants him including Arry) and Ambrose (an extra £468,000 over three years) to spearhead an attack minded but equally defensive midfield, would it lessen the case to get a striker as it would be one from Mackie, Clarke or HH but of course a 20 goal striker would be the icing on the cake.

    ------------- Striker -------------
    - Two Ball ----------- Ambrose - (McAnuff as well)
    -------- Faurlin - Buzz ----------
    ------------- Derry --------------

Legs, Rowlands, Hogan, Cook and others could fill in where injuries and suspensions kick in.

That proposition looks tasty indeed. I'm sure we'll get another striker in, we just have to...

Mackie would still be dangerous on the left as I'm not sure on Taarabt, equally McAnuff or Smith would be just as good if not better than Ambrose

Why are you even considering "two Ball".
You have spent the last 5 months telling us how he is not good enough and how the team is far better off without him..
      Very strange thread to start!!

Not at all, I would be happy if he don't come but I have always said IMO we will end up with him because no one else wants him and with noises about Ambrose resurfacing, I am thinking aloud.

Also, I refer you to my post ages ago

"I rate Adel when he plays on the left wing as that is his position and his trickery is perfect for him to skin full backs to create chances for himself and others. 90% of his great goals for club and country have come from him playing................ left midfield.

Its when he plays as a striker or behind the striker or in centre midfield he is two bob, as his skill set is not suited to running at nasty CM's & CB's and as he don't like passing and would not hit water if he fell out of a boat, its pointless him playing in those positions. There is a rumour QPR fans have requested netting to be put across the upper loft, to protect them if he resigns for QPR FC to play up front."

How many did Cox, Bednar and Miller score in comparison with Dorrans and Brunt? How many did Adam score compared with Taylor-Fletcher, Ormerod and Campbell.

I already believe with the likes of Mackie and Buzsaky we will score goals this seasons. Faurlin will definitely score more than 1 last season and even if Ephraim, Parker and Rowlands are bit part players they all have the ability to score. I do want us to have 4 top strikers but I honestly believe that we will start with one natural striker and it will be up to the midfield to contribute.

I hope he does come, but to be honest he is far to talented for the CCC, and I dont blame him for trying to secure a club in a top league, the boy is certainly good enough.
Mackie will play left wing anyway, so Taarabt wouldnt fit into your team.

Replace "striker" with Helgusson or Agymang and Ambrose with Ephraim and you have your starting midfield/striker
