  • Utilising the loan market

I know NW has said that he doesn't really want to rely on the loan market, but I think we could really benefit from a couple of season long loans.

I'd love us to go and sign Jay Emmanuel-Thomas who has looked good whenever I've seen him, is highly rated by Arsenal and did very well at Doncaster last season.

Would also like us to try and sign one of Kyle Walker, Kyle Naughton or Seamus Coleman for the right back slot.

Plenty of strikers who won't be getting much first team football either.. the likes of Leon Best or Simon Cox could be an option.

I'd rather we sign some young, hungry players on loan than some average championship player on a permo.

NW did say that we may have 1 loan player only this coming season so I wouldn't be surprised to see someone you mentioned come in.

Good post Nik. Look at Blackpools side last year, Coleman, DJ, Dobbie all key for them on loan off the top of my bonce, probs more too

Warnock WON'T pay over the odds for players so IMO if he fails to land the players he wants to buy he will use the loan market.

I hate loans. I'm old fashioned and liked the 70s when teams/squads were pretty static for 2 or 3 years and you just got behind the players you had (and often grew to love them over time). Nowadays it's like a flippin' revolving door with ins and outs every season and loans all over the place.
I concede that they're a way of life now and to achieve success probably requires some shrewdness playing the loan system - however, I'd still prefer a 1st XI of QPR owned players.
