Ambrose is a good player there is no disputing that and he is IMO better than Ephraim so would improve the team but whether he stays with you or joins us I no longer care because the whole saga is dull. If we were trying to sign Lionel Messi then that's one thing but Darren "I've had one decent season in my whole career" Ambrose well I'm over it.

alot of managers do this in order to disrupt the player and get him to commit one way or the other. he maybe in negotiations with palace but he hasnt signed. no doubt our offer is clearly still on the table. so he is prolly deciding which offer to take.
imo tho ambrose wont hit form he had last year. im confident in that regardless what shirt he is wearing. i'd much rather we went for macnuff as he is twice the player.
my personally feeling is ambrose is 50/50 and it could go either way. personally id rather palace kept him because this has dragged on FAR too long! id rather we got in players who showed a clear desire to play for us.

Also, the type of football we're playing is far better for career development.
Also, if you get promoted (very unlikely), he'll be one of the players who aren't regularly playing.
It's a risk for any player to join. All that you really offer is money. You say you have ambition, but only because you've got money.

what on earth are you going on about with your last point? How else does a club show ambition? If you've got no money, you can't sign anyone? Are there clubs with no money that show loads of ambition? How do they do that? Get all the crowd to hold "we're an ambitious club" banners?

How do you know this? How do you what football Burley will play - surely it's far too early to say just from a few pre season matches. After all if he doesn't have the right players at his disposal he'll have to play the football that those players can play. As I earlier said in this thread under Warnock, Ambrose scored 12 in 34 matches (1 in 2.888) whereas under Hart he scored 3 in 12 (1 in 4) so how can being managed by Warnock again be bad for his career development? With Faurlin and Buzsaky in the side we have two of the most natural footballers in the division to play alongside.
Ambrose looked far more threatening from open play under Hart. Also, towards the end of the season, he was getting more and more tired.

Blackpool were skint, but they were very ambitious.
You're definitely not skint, you're just not spending ANYTHING!
