The main reason I wouldn't mind him signing as it'd shut some of you lot up...

Also, I know Darren on a personal level, not just as a supporter, also his family and from day one, unless asked to leave Darren, hasn't wanted to leave Palace so it's not just him saying the things to make it sound good to supporters.

McCarthy Signs New Contract

Paddy McCarthy has signed a new three year contract with the club.
The 27 year old defender joined Palace in June 2008 and has made 51 appearances for the club and wore the captains armband in the first pre-season friendly against Crawley Town on Tuesday evening.

NW "wants to look after Palace as well".......... F F S ! ! ! !
When the season kicks off I will give NW three golden opps to mention CPFC and then he's used up all his lives and I shall revert to calling him Colin (again)I need some time in the sunshine, I gotta slow it right down.

Ambrose probably has spoken about a new contract and after discussions has realised that CP are skint and can not give him what he wants and their offer does not match what NW put on the table, so he will either sign for QPR FC or walk for nothing in 11 months and become a wealthy man.

That is utter tosh not only did you give Paddy "the best centreback in the league:drunk:" a new deal. Portsmouth have been offering contracts to existing players all summer, they withdrew their offer for David James at the beginning of the week. To say you know a player on a personal level means nothing. One of the 15 year olds I coach has Ally Faurlin's number and they meet on a regular basis, doesn't mean he knows the ins and outs of his new contract negotiations with Rangers. Find it hard to believe Ambrose would have told you all this. Also does Ambrose even have a family as he is thought to be a raving iron and the whole reason Warnock wants him is to keep Buzz sweet this season.15 years in the wilderness will be a distant memory come Sunday 8th May 2011.

Again, the deal with McCarthy has been agreed and signed but won't officially be registered with the Football League untill what i mentioned beforehand.
Now your likely to say well why hasn't Ambrose done the same thing, well to say again, it's in hand, Darren will sign an extension beofre the start of the season, im pretty sure of that. He has an excellent relationship with George Burley and Steve Parish, the new chairman.

Ambrose offered new Palace deal to keep him from QPR's clutches
Published 11:20 22/07/10 By James Nursey
Crystal Palace have offered Darren Ambrose a new £10,000-a-week deal to stay.
The Championship Eagles are braced for the exit of right-back Nathaniel Clyne, 19, to Premier League Birmingham.
But if they can generate £2million from Clyne's sale they plan to retain midfielder Ambrose, 26, who bagged 20 goals last term.
Former Palace boss Neil Warnock has offered Ambrose £13,000-a-week to join his new club QPR.
But Ambrose is willing to stay at Selhurst Park after changing agent to the same stable as his close pal Darren Bent.
Ambrose wants the club to pay his agent's fees though but Palace's new owners CPFC 2010 insist the player pays his representative's cut for his new contract.Last edited by paulmason; 22-07-2010, 12:40 PM.

"But Neil's in two minds in that he wants to look after Palace as well and that's why the offer is a good one. If they ask for more I can't see us upping the bid, but equally I can't see them keeping a player who doesn't want to be there"
I just think the way Warnock and Jones are going about this in paticular is totally wrong.

We don't do strikers you should know that by now.I played sunday league football today.
Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.
I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.
We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Offering 20k a week to an average player after just coming out of administration isn't the smartest of moves tbh. I personally would like Ambrose to stay with you, as I don't want us giving him 20k a week, one good season doesn't make you a great player. We have made this mistake already with Vine who is on the same amount of money came in on loan was good, signed permanently was crap and has been for two years. I'd rather we gave Josh Parker an improved deal in all honesty and hope to god we get in three strikers.15 years in the wilderness will be a distant memory come Sunday 8th May 2011.
