    I have got to pick 4 teams.

    4 teams for a tenner.

    I can't get my side under 50million.

    Any ideas. At the moment I have drafted in 2 duffers and I still can't pick a decent side with that budget. Also I won't drop Drogba and Gerrard so please give me some ideas. I also won't drop Reina.

    Reina

    * Gerrard * *

    * Drogba
    I played sunday league football today.

    Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

    I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

    We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

    Take joe cole, he will have a good season and play every game. Also cheap but decent, Dempsey from Fulham cheap and always gets goals.

        Did sky sports for the world cup.

        U didn't have a budget and could only pick 2 players from the same side. Gonna pay a tenner and do the telegraph one sirpie. Good calls jeffro I will add those 2 to my side.

          I always find the key is picking captains and penalty takers because they are the people who never get dropped or pick you up points unexpectedly.

          If you are going for cheaper players Nolan is only £3.3m and did well for Bolton in the Prem. Will Etherington and N'Zogbia have good seasons again??

          IMO Valencia will only get better in this 2nd season for United. Dempsey will score goals, as will Fletcher and Cahill definitely will. This way it leaves you more money for the players you really want.

            Fantasy Football is easy:

            Rule number 1: forget any anti Chelsea sentiment, pick as many chelsea defenders as you can, they are clean sheet machines. Liverpool will still conceed goals like a seive. if money is tight, pick Carvalho over Terry, and Boswinga / Ivanovich over Cole to save some cash. Cech is a must. there is no value in sticking in cheap defenders, as they will lose you points. your back 5 must be top quality, at the expense of everything else.

            Rule number 2: Pick 'hero' players where-ever possible - players that get MOTM awards not because they are better than the others, but because they are 'darlings' of the team - Terry, Carragher, Vidic, Gerrard, Lampard, Cahill, Rooney, Drogba, Torres.

            Rule Number 3: Arsenal always start strongly - if you have a straight choice between an arsenal player and another one, pick the arsenal player.

            Rule Number 4: Everton always start slowly - see above and flip-reverse it.

            Rule Number 5: Rooney and Drogba upfront is your starting point. All this I hate Rooney bullsh*t and he's finished will only help you when he scores 25 goals next season - which he will. same applies for Drogba.

            Rule Number 6: Penalty takers, penalty takers, penalty takers - see Lampard and Rooney above.

            Rule Number 7: if you can pick formations, pick 442 over 433 EVERY TIME. the most expensive midfielder is normally about 6million, whereas 6million gets you Stoke's reserve striker. And Lampard will score 3 times as many points as Dave Kitson.

            Rule Number 8: Assists are almost as good as goals - Fabregas scored about 15, but also assisted 15 more - that's 45 points right there. good wingers like Etherington, Ashley Young, Nzogbia are worth their weight in gold.

            Rule number 9: NEVER pick an untried striker. you got a feeling that Wigan's new Peruvian striker is the nuts and is a steal at 6 million? you're wrong fella - aint going to happen...

            ...and that's how you become unbeatable at fantasy football - which i am - win my league every year, and always top 3-500 in the country...

              Jeff spot on and I agree with all the above as it does make sense. The telegraph doesn't give points for MOM anymore.

                Picking a goalkeeper or one defender that won't get a game can free up some money for better players. OK he won't score you any points but he will be cheap and won't loose you any points.
