Pete - I don't get what your isue is with Curbishley. He is a bloody good manager, his track record is great. He may have not excelled at West Ham, but I think we all know he can do a good job given time. He was many peoples' choice for England job not too long ago. He will be chomping at the bit for a chance with a decent club (yes we are a decent club!) and I think he will be a great choice.

My first choice though is Di Matteo.

a very sound appointment if true, wasn't my first choice last week but having time to think about he is the best candidate for the job, di matteo, ince, wise, de canio just doln't have enough experince in this league, pardew and boothroyd are a big no, venables would be great but just a pipe dream same goes for sven and big phill. dave jones or coppell wouldn't be bad appointments but if it is curbs i would be very happy.....................uuuuuuuuuuuuuuu rrrrrrrrrrrrr'ssssssssssssss!!!

Curbs is the man. With a screen name like Swede I guess your biased when it comes to wanting the greedy one sven. He spent crazy as man city and had no success he destroyed mexico so he is past it. Better with the ladys I have heard. Your also the one that uses the official messageboard and likes attention by keeping posts running so I can see why you just want a big name but I would be happy with curbs good honest manager

Curbishley will be an absolutely fantastic appointment...

knows the league, been there and done it, wont take ANY interference as shown at WHU, has the respect of his players as shown at WHU and willing to try the youngster as at WHU....

definately the best appointment open to us once discounting all the joke names like Mancini, Eriksson, Scolari etc.
