    Benny loves the spurs.

You can't blame him for leaving chelsea as he needs to be playing but I think Liverpool are a bigger and better club to join. Champions league comes and goes. I think Liverpool will finish above spurs in the league this year.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Will need the extra wedge to make up for what the Scouse house breakers will steal.

        Definitely not true then.
He is 32 so I wouldn't expect him to be worth much more than this.

OH BENNY COME ON... FFS how many games did he get at Chelsea last season? He will be one of the 1st names on the team sheet at Liverpool playing in a half decent side. At Chelsea he wasn't playing or he was a bit part player which was clearly his intentions for leaving not money in this case. Think you've made a complete blooper here fella! Arsenal wouldn't sign an Englishman and Spurs had a good season last term but that won't happen again and Liverpool will be back occupying that spot in the Champions League! He could of signed a new contract at Chelsea and got £70-£90k a week and sat on the bench so lets not put all footballers into the same money grabbing catagory. Also sooooo fooking what if players chase the money. I don't care what you say everyone would change jobs is someone offered them to the chance to do something they love for more money. People only bitch about these things when their jealousy streak kicks in. It's a short career so get whatever you can while you're in it cos 90% won't be remembered when they retire!

I get your point but when the average wage is £25k per year in this country and the majority do a job they hate of course people would want more. The key difference is that these players already earn millions and are just greedy wanting more whereas most normal people in this country are currently going through one of the hardest recession since the 2nd World War and unemployment beckons for a huge section of the population under this new Government. These players sign long contracts where they are promise £000s of pounds regardless of performance and the recession is just a word most of them couldn't even spell.

                    Absolutely not a jealousy thing.

How many cars/houses does one player need.Alot of footballers don't go round spending 90k a week....Alot of footballers invest their money as their careers are not that long.Alot of footballers shy away from the limelight and im sure are very good with their money.

Would I want to be a footballer earning that sort of money,? of course but im chessed off with all this loyalty crap from footballers and the running kissing the badge and i live and breathe etc.

If they turned round and said, I love playing football and will earn as much as i can out of it even if that means jumping from one club to another...id have more time for them. That was apparent in the World Cup when they couldn't give a toss.Come season starts...they will be back to normal.

Not sure on the Joe Cole on...but all these players going to man City do not give a crap about football. Yaya Gabor, wasn't he at Barcelona .....good choice moving to Man City....Will they get a Champions league next year???

Blx to all of them...they should play football for nothing and give me their money.

Sorry Dazzer but I'm going to have to disagree with you. Cole had the opportunity to play once again under Redknapp, in a team who will be playing CL football next season and to stay in London. With Man City expected to break into the top 3 this season that leaves one place for Liverpool to try and get CL football for the following season but with the likes of Insua having been sold, Mascareno not returning phone calls and Torres being injured again plus the financial restraints at Liverpool, Cole will be lucky if he ever plays CL football again. They potentially are a very good side but so are Spurs and so are Arsenal. Will Liverpool finish in the top 4 next season the bookies don't think so.

If I was at man u earning 100k a week and man city offered 250k a week I would jump ship straight away.

Just my opinion but moneys most important thing in the world....250k a week will look after generations of your family etc.

But so will 100k a week. How much did Robbie Fowler or Michael Owen earn when they were at the top of their game? Nowhere near that but if you look at any footballer rich list they are still always near the top because they invested the money.

If some Russian, American or Arab Billionnaire wants to spend his money which in turn is hit by 50% tax when it goes to the player and it means that a few hospitals, school and other useful things get funding then great.

You must want a grand lifestyle then ....how in the name do you spend £200K per week? No wonder footballers are bored.

And that's the problem with football and the problem we have at QPR.

The likes of Patrick Agyemang Rowan Vine etc.. would rather be bit part players for the next 2 years, than actually drop a league and play the game they love and still have a decent income.

Back to your Man Utd man City point.....shows lack of ambition as a footballer. Also - if that good, could get more sponsorship at the bigger club for sure....
