  • My quick view on the borehamwood game!

I knew it wouldnt be great, but as it was local, i thought id give it a go. £12 to get in though nearly put me off - i feel like a mug to be honest that i paid it!!

One player i was hoping to stand out was Rowan Vine. Once my favourite player, i had nothing but praise for him. However, yesterday he looked no better than anyone else, in fact probably one of our worst players. Didnt seem to be that interested in the game, and wouldnt be surprised if hes gone very soon. Constantly ran into nowhere, and no end product.

Watching the reserves really showed me how much better our first team were! We were pretty awful to be honest, and hardly had a clear cut chance. Borehamwood were the better side for most of the game, and played some nice moves at times.

I cant say that anyone for us stood out at all. Borrowdale was awful and got subbed, German didnt do a thing, and our defence was shocking. Played the ball around to each other, going nowhere with it and then giving away possession in dangerous areas.

One player who did look good was number 16 - I think a trialist. He came on for German who got injured and immediately caused problems for the 10 minutes or so he was on. The goal came from him, causing problems for there defence, took on a couple of players and beat them both before playing it back to our number 7 whoever that was, to finish it off. A shame he didnt stay on longer, as looked the only dangerous player.

I felt like a mug paying £12 - but really made me realise how much better our first team were!! Also confirmed to me that Vine needs to move on, and Borrowdale really isnt good enough - cant beleive he played so much last year!! thats pretty worrying
