  • Stan Bowles classic

Stan once said on TV this was one of the highlights of his career

Rangers beating the 1975 German champions and UEFA Cup holders at the University of Marburg. More on the game here: http://www.indyrs.co.uk/?p=435

    Great to see
I blew a lot on vodka and tonic, gambling and fags. Looking back, I think I overdid it on the tonic. - The one and only Stanley Bowles

Quality. And Dave Webb getting 2! While looking chunky as ever.

Him and McLintock once started on me in the Rangers dressing room in Ruislip when I was a young kiddie (I was playing for Arsenal youth at the time and they were Rangers 1st team who'd been training at the same time we played). Both of em gave me a v v hard time coz my kit bag (the ubiquitous adidas bag from them days) had been graffitii-ed up with things like "clock end boot boys kick to kill" and "Arsenal never run" by the Arsenal supporting boys in the team. I was cornered and asked if I wanted a run out with them since I was so hard etc! So there I was with two of the hardest men in football giving it large to a 13 yr old! I thought they were well out of order at the time. But looking back it was fantastically funny. I'd like a run in now to get my own back

Good to see my You Tube upload is attracting some interest! There will be a lot more on this game on the web in the next 48 hours. Keep 'em peeled as Shaw Taylor used to say in "Police 5" in my youth.
