  • How many more like me?

I can honestly say I was very close to getting a ticket at the early bird price. At the time Taraabt and Hooper were seemingly very close to signing, along with Derry and Hill.

By the time I had made my decision not to, we then signed the palace rejects.
Despite being told FFS its only May,June,July.. Here we are in 3 weeks the season starts and our front line seriously could start with agyemang and Vine.

Not sure how many like me, I will still go most games, but will take advantage of the £10 offers and deals, that will inevitabley happen as again they have had dissappointing ticket sales, and need to supplement the crowd!

I know it sounds bad to some, but I can honestly say, that if the board had shown ambition I would have bought a ticket.
They have done it YET AGAIN on the cheap and therefore lost at least 1 season ticket holder.

Are they actually aware that people are expecting a decent striker and full back to be PURCHASED, rather than picked up on a free transfer??

How do the supporters who have purchased on the basis that "this summer will be exciting" and "lots of comings and goings" spin etc, actually feel??

How do the supporters who purchased £600+ season tickets feel that there will invariabley be match day offer after offer, saving the likes of me money and seeing you pay £23 odd quid a game, where I will pay £10 on special offers??

Have the board mugged off loyal fans yet again?

I ask these questions to honest loyal fans who have already bought tickets, because I feel that you have had your pants pulled down to be honest.

    How many others like me?
Before anyone starts I have been going regularly since 1985.

    Thank you

Jeffro - This is what i was saying to you the other day regarding ST sales, as I think a large % are people like me, taking advantage of the cheap and free kids prices, which soften the blow of the overpriced adult ST. For example, I pay £469 for my ST, £100 for an U16 ST and nothing for an U8, so that's an average price of £189.66 per ST, which works out a whopping £23.70 per game (24 games) this season for three of us to watch our beloved QPR FC.

If there was no U16 £100 option or a free U8 option, I would not get three ST as the gimmicks they do around Christmas and towards the end of season makes it a mugs game.

Yes I agree mate, but I would just be buying one adult ticket, though I see your point, once your boy is over 16 then it starts to become a problem!

just proves what i said was right "PROPAGANDA" from the "ITK" crowd - and people wonder if there is a hidden agenda from them....when Flabio was in charge Amit would come out and speak (like the classroom sneak) on/off record....but now is very much hiding in the shadows ?

I haven't got a season ticket this season. The reason is twofold. First, I want to play every Saturday for my team instead of just alternate weeks. However I feel that had the football been a lot better, and had we spent some money on more established players and being doing better, I may have been caught up in a sense of excitement. I have been underwhelmed in the last two seasons and will just buy tickets to matches when I can go, home and away. I feel a bit bad but I will still support the club when I haven't got my own games.

S0d's law we'll have a blinder of a season and win the league (hope so!)

Just throwing my opinion into the hat...

I'll start by saying that my disappointment isn't quite as strong as yours Jeffro, but I can fully appreciate where both you and any other posters are coming from.

Towards the end of last season the club were making all the right kind of noises. Warnock was practically foaming at the mouth during his interviews, and you couldn't help but feel that maybe something special was about to happen.

After thinking about it I could never see us go out and spending the rumoured £15m on transfers... BUT I WAS expecting more activity than we have seen so far, and I did think that we would make a real mark of intent in this transfer window.

The signings of Clarke, Hill, Derry, Mackie (still think he will prove alot wrong) & Kenny might be good CCC players, but they don't really inspire me with much confidence that this will be "the" season.

Taarabt, Ambrose, Simpson, Tosic - Those kind of names/signings would show that we are serious about doing something. Personally, I feel we still haven't learned from our lessons and will continue to do things on the cheap.

I did renew my ST, as I would have done had we not signed ANYBODY. But if we don't make a couple of proper signings soon, I think another season will see us by.

Saying that, we might make a flurry of signings over the next couple of weeks and everyone will be happy (don't worry I'm not holding my breath!). But this certainly isn't what I was expecting.

Fair points SM, Good fans like you are a credit to the club, and this is why they shouldnt spin spin spin . I will probably end up going to all home games again as i did last season.

                    Thanks Jeffro, I appreciate that.

For the record, I completely agree with you regarding the "spin" from the club.

Despite appointing a proper manager and giving him full control, it does appear (atleast so far) that the club will follow exactly the same kind of model that it did under Flavio - minus the £20 a week supporter comments!

So far under the Mittal's it appears we have seen plenty of fluffy ambitious comments.. But when it comes to the crunch - they don't deliver.

If they don't make any decent signings between now and the start of the season and we don't hit the ground running - well it won't be long before people turn on them as well.

Just what have we paid our inflated prices for?! I fear they are taking advantage of our loyalty (again!).

In a bit of agreement with Jeffro etc on this one.The next three weeks could be either very interesting or a great anti climax.I have no problems with the signings made so far(Not sure about Clarke) but the fact we still have the same old dead wood at the club at the moment, worries me.If, however, some of the deadwood is cleared over next few weeks(.....) and we bring in some much needed improvement, then things could look brighter....Now ...for those lottery numbers tonight..

Thats the problem if we are banking on clearing the deadwood out before spending then we will be waiting a long time as the deadwood is on a good wedge and have no thoughts on giving it up easily.

                          Same as.....glad i didn't renew....

Season tickets can still be bought through out the season...

I would have renew if we had a massive clear out and spent some money..

                          Still smells like Flavio....

Will take advantage of the live seat booking system this year...

I may look at a half season ticket if they show some ambition. Otherwise I will maybe take in some away games instead of home.. Better atmosphere anyway.

The thing is. if we continue to do things on the cheap and when the relegated teams start coming down with double the amount of parachute payments as there are now what chance will we ever have of getting back up?
