Connolly as a full back...

seems like from reading last nights report. firstly connolly was at leftback then at right back.

i really really hope he is used in the middle. such a waste at left back and even at rightback - but he can do a job there.

I think Warnock was experitmenting so I wouldnt take too much notice of last night. Connolly will play centre half for QPR this season but he was using Connolly as a right/left back to see if he could play there acting as cover.

Problem with him is he's so versatile, can play right across the back four though his best and most preferred position is at C/B.

The pairing for Barnsley is Gorkss & Connolly as centre backs (unless injuries occur)

well connolly on qpr player the other day said he prefers to play at CB but warnock likes him as a full back.

so thats where i expect him to play this season. unless connolly can prove him otherwise in pre season.

conners is in my opinion the best centre half at the club. hes a footballer. I like him and Gorkss together as they compliment each other quite well. Gorkss being the big ugly defender and Matt as the footballer. I would prefer Matt at right back over Ramo and Legs but ultimatly i would like to see him at c/b.

Expect he'll be filling in at fullback for the forseeable future, especially now that Ramage has made his case as a useful CB in addition to what we've already got...
