As I said the other day, Hogan hasn't reached anywhere near the early potential he showed, but he's far from aweful. Again, they have only been poor opposition, but he still has to get into these positions and finish. Not saying he'll do this in the CCC, but there are far more players we should look to offload before him. Of course, this could just be NW's tactic to raise his price tag by a couple of grand.

Good effort from all, and I'm pleased Mackie is looking good.

Yes but Warnock is trying to install a winning mentality as well as fitness. Your right it is poor opposition but mentally the players win the more confident they become.

the board are doolally if they feel these games are a test of whats to come.these games are all about fitness levels and bonding.a sense of winning as a team even against pub sides will give the lads a sense of togetherness. weve got a good squad as it is,hogans gonna do well this season but a top championship striker will set us apart from the rest

But, Warnock has expressed his desire for another 2 or 3 strikers since the day Clarke came in..

Do you really think he will be fooled by the fact we have rolled over a couple of pub teams! If the right players are avalible/if were able to get them in, he will get them...

We must show the faith we have been asked to show... Hes no fool and has the experience to make the correct decisions.

Problem is Youve is its not Warnock signing the cheque's is it? I bet their is 20 strikers he would WANT but getting them via our owners is the sticking point in my book..
