I'm not sure why so many people on your board think we'll struggle badly next season. After all, our first 11 at the moment looks a fair bit better than yours does. However, you have strength in depth, which we don't have yet (probably will do come Leicester though).

Your first 11 is pony. Alan Lee, Calvin Andrew, Paddy McCarthy, Adam Barrett, Claude Davis, Sean Scannell are all turd. That's half your squad.

We took your captain and we think he's poor what does that say about the rest of your team.

Mystery Premier league striker is Ben Burgess.
15 years in the wilderness will be a distant memory come Sunday 8th May 2011.

      Eagle.

Think you are looking at a fight to stay up this season mate.Maybe similar poosition to last season.Although Speroni is worth a place or two in league on his own.Lose him and you are goners.

Mind you, unless we get a decent striker or two we ain't gonna be a great deal higher.Probably mid-table.

Gotta love how they rate Lee and Andrew two of the biggest donkeys in this league. Make our strikeforce look positively half decent.

Good result against Crawley too eh Eagle

              1. Our first 11 contains Alan Lee, probably not Andrew, yes to paddy, adam barrett and Claude Davis are cover, and Sean Scannell is still young and will probably be a sub.

Paddy McCarthy is a brilliant defender. He was phenomenal last season, and the season before until he got injured. He was a class above any of your defenders last season. Formed a great partnership with Fonté http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WGElFKpzFlE

Alan Lee is a massive aerial threat, and holds the ball up well. He played a blinder in all of the games last season. Only problem is, he doesn't score. Gets his fair share of assists though, and is almost always involved in goals.

Andrew, Barrett, Davis and Scannell are all squad players. Andrew and Scannell are still very young, and will definitely improve. Davis and Barrett are two better defenders that Clint Hill, even though they are only squad players.

You signed our captain, who is getting visibly very old. He's a great leader, which is what you need, but he can't run anymore, and passes are often misplaced. On the pitch, we haven't missed a lot; but off it, we'll suffer his loss. This is where someone like Paddy comes in. On the pitch, we thought him and Clint Hill were our worst players last season. What does that say about you?

I've got to admit, I'm rather shocked at why a lot of people on your board seem to think that Paddy is ****. I assure you, watch him play every week and you'll realise that he's one of the best defenders in the league (and miles better than anyone you've got, I'll add).

Mystery Premier League striker is not Ben Burgess. That name hasn't even been suggested.

Are you suggesting that your first XI isn't pony?

Would you not swap Ramage, Hall or Stewart for Clyne?
Would you not swap Leigertwood, Rowlands or Cook for Ambrose (well, you tried)
Would you not swap Vine, Agyemang or Clarke for Lee (even though some may deny it, of course you wood. You need a target man)
Would you not swap Cerny for Speroni? (Fat chance, btw)

We've played Crawley and Sutton off the park, but they scored two beautiful goals that would grace any game. Also, I'm not particularly bothered how our youth team and a few trialists play against Sutton Utd. The Crawley game was a shock, but then again, I remember losing 5-0 to Crawley in pre-season, and then going on to do rather well.

If we signed Alan Lee as our main striker this board would go into complete melt down.

Love your optimism but the honest answer to all your questions , apart from Clyne is no.
By the way, Cerny is our deputy keeper and yes we do need another target man and NW and MJ have said quality is coming. Our first XI is far from completed as of yet, but only results next season will tell who is right and who is wrong. But as NW says winning is a habit that you need to get used to, and lets be honest losing to a pub side is embarassing whoever you put out.
                    RIP: Doug, Sniffer and Pat

I saw something on the telly about Sutton having a friendly against Fulham being cancelled.

I know one of their midfielders. Funny enough played under Warnock at Plymouth!

Would you not swap Ramage, Hall or Stewart for Clyne?

No I would add him to the squad. Stewpeas is brilliant, Ramage has a great cross and Hall is an experienced centre back.

Would you not swap Leigertwood, Rowlands or Cook for Ambrose (well, you tried)

Again no I would not swap Ambrose for any of these. Legs has a quality long shot and can play across the mid and right back (great to have a multi purpose player like that) Cookie gives passion and still has time to get back to 100% this season... Rowlands the club captain - I would say when not injured he is better than Ambrose anyway.

Would you not swap Vine, Agyemang or Clarke for Lee (even though some may deny it, of course you wood. You need a target man)

Lee is worse than all of those (I hold judgment on Clarke till I see him first hand)

Would you not swap Cerny for Speroni? (Fat chance, btw)

We have Kenny now Cerny as a quality back up couldn't see Speroni wanting to sit on a bench. You might as well keep him - give you a little bit of hope for next season.

Still, would expect to beat Sutton like that.

Oh well. Pre-seasons been looking good for us on the signings front, anyway. We've brought in some decent players, and looks like we're going to hold on to Ambrose, Clyne, Speroni etc.

Congratulations on your 8-0 win by the way, but what are your opinions on Clarke? Is there a reason he's not scoring? He didn't look that bad for Wednesday, at least not on the last day.
i dont think we will see palace in and around where we will be next season - mid table. burley is a good manager and if they can keep speroni and clyne they have a strong chance of doing something good. however i cant see clyne staying in this division.

as for clarke none of us really rate him or did.. he was overweight at sheff wed but now has slimmed down but by all accounts wasnt too good against tiverstock. so we shall wait and see.

Have you noticed, all the players they have got in are good, not a moan, and all ours are shoite.

They are going to do well and finish above us......so they say.

We only got their shoite players, who would have been released anyway.

If they believe all that, WHY DO THEY KEEP COMING ON HERE AND CRYING,
                              They seek him here.................

Every time he has played against us whether for Leicester or you he has looked like an accident waiting to happen and inevitably does happen. Best defender in the league? Surely someone like Sean St Ledger is? Paddy McCarthy would struggle to get in to the under-15 team I coach. He can't be any better than what we have or Warnock would have had him here. Matthew Connolly, Kaspars Gorkss, Peter Ramage, Clint Hill are better than Paddy McCarthy and the latter is ****.

Calvin Andrew and Alan Lee are both worse than Rowan Vine, Patrick Agyemang and Heidar Helguson all of whom are likely to be replaced by the start of the season.

Clyne gone by August, Birmingham have opened the bidding today.

We've played Crawley and Sutton off the park, but they scored two beautiful goals that would grace any game. If you play a team off the park you tend to win mate, jog on. You come on here with the need of defending your team when all someone said was Palace lost to Sutton Utd. If we lose to Borehamwood on Saturday we'll be pissed off and I bet you and some of your ***** mates will be the first to be on here to have a dig. Difference is we don't go on your messageboard persistently making ourselves out to be the Barcelona of the championship, when we're clearly not. The glue that you lot have been sniffing has had a damaging effect on your concepts of reality. This is a QPR messageboard for QPR fans. I'm starting to think that all Palace fans coming on to this board actually are thinking about becoming QPR supporters that is why they spend so much time on here.
