We have always had this debt.

When the mittals became major shareholders they knew that GP had offered out 4 year contracts with the likes of hall, aygemang etc. If these players had signed while the Mittals had full control then your arguement would stand good ground. They are not silly and knew the money we was losing, so why not invest in us?
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Some people say they 'saved' us from extinction but on the basis we do not own the ground and we owe more money now than we have done in the past, what have they saved ?

Do Amit and Flavio's company still service the loan on W12 and bank the tidy interest payments every month ?

How long have we been crying out for a Striker?

The last REAL decent striker in my eyes was Paul Furlong, and that feels like an age ago.
Most fans slagged off Furlong when he came to us and he got constant abuse but came good in the end thankfully

Perhaps we should show a bit of faith that Warnock knows what he is doing with his signings but of course I would love to see us spend big and get a proven 20 goals a year striker

What exactly are their motives? If they wanted success on the field, they could afford to play a higher stakes game than what they are currently doing. The argument about the club running a tight budget, living within its means and not spending what we don't have simply doesnt wash with me.

We are running up huge debts on a weekly basis so why don't the board up the ante and spend more to get in some decent goalscorers?

If they are serious about building the club up, why haven't they already started building an academy indoor facility and extending even more into local communities?

Why haven't plans been made to expand the capacity of Loftus Road for when we arrive in the higher league?

What are our owners plans i wonder?

            Agree with that, wholeheartedly.
            They seek him here.................

Good question. You can bet that they aren't making losses in all areas. Back handers, money moving from account to account etc.

And all the while we are being taken as mugs with spin and more spin

Good posts Bob. At the end of the day no real businessman buys a football club to make money.

As an actual well-known joke around business circles goes: "How do you make million pounds?"

Answer: "Be a Billionaire and buy a football club." (True joke.)

They do it for the prestige, to try and look good amongst their friends and influence people. Hence why all the initial investment was to throw a few crumbs to the fans (which we have trouble getting off the wage bill) and a giant screen and spend the rest on the corporate hospitality, C- Club, the executive boxes, caterers etc.

Of course, when you invite your elaborate guests to the ground and the fans are audibly heard booing you, it's probably best to get out; concentrate on the things you are good at and go and entertain them at a Grand Prix where the car engines drown out such noise.

No idea what Mittal's plans are. He keeps a lower profile, so think that actually helps him. I just trust he runs the things as a steady business and will make carefully considered decisions. But have to admit, that progress does seem painfully slow and all the points you make are perfectly valid.

[QUOTE=BobHazell;398443]I feel the same fella. As do the thousands of missing fans that don't attend each week through sheer disillusionment too.

Bob, your original post was spot on - excellent.
I dont though get your missing thousands - I've had a season ticket for 15 years and as far as I can recollect our average attendance is around the 13,000 mark every season. Our core support ( season tickets) has dwindled since the price hike, yet the average attendance has remained! If we get off to a good start, or go on a consistent run the glory hunters will be back and hopefully we will sell out and not have to do the £10 offers that a few rave on about on here. I treasure my ticket as its my team I'm supporting - I have a 200 mile round trip for every home game - The negativity around season tickets on here amazes me - It seems the very few on this board that dont/wont get a season ticket are far far outweighed by the near 7,000 that have!

Cannot see the owners looking to increase capacity until demand is exhausted which I would imagine is 18,000 - Ticket income DOES not keep the club finances afloat. The club want the ground full for atmosphere not the income. Funny side is that if we do perform next year & demand increases the few that bleat about not getting a ticket will be bleating about not being able to get a ticket

Nice to see a post that is just not a silly rumour for a change but on a subject that has mystified me from very early in our beloved leaders reign. I rarely post on these message boards but read them all and I have never been able to fathom exactly where we are going as a club. The early talk of Premiership and Champions League soon dissappeared and as we floundered from one manager to the next we looked like a club in crisis rather than one on the up.
We now have a manager who can most likely do the job given the right tools and talk from the new leadership was promising, however the signings have been uninspiring (hopefully the will turn out to be stars, only time will tell)and as the new season looms we can only wait and wonder.
In my view the CCC is a poor league that gets worse each season and any team with the ambition and the cash can get promotion without too much trouble, after that however things can get very very costly and as a club with a small fan base how you generate the cash you need is always going to be a problem.
Our owners are all successful buisinessmen and have large egos so just what is going on? I would say at the moment we could make the top ten this season, based on having a good manager and a fair squad.A few quality additions would obviously make a huge difference, but if thar doesnt happen then you to wonder how long they will subsidise the club.

Under Ollie in Division 2, we had 11000 season tickets. Now we struggle to get 7000 in a higher league.

I don't post on here regularly so cant comment on negativity around season ticket purchases however i am a current and long standing st holder like you. I feel the club has 'lost' the goodwill and backing of many fans and plans definitely should be made now to expand LR if we have true aspirations of getting into the Premier League. The fact that those plans haven't been made strikes me as odd. Surely if we are to get into the higher league the board need to consider stadium expansion asap?

I simply cant understand why one of the most successful business man in the world is more than happy to had a mid/lower table club, flirting with relegation most seasons.

                        It isn't making money.

                        Infact its losing money.

It isnt successful on field, so no kudos there Mr Mittal/Bhatia.

It isnt helping any of his other businesses either.

Apart from cleaning a few quid...the question has to remain.. WHY??

The club lost its soul when they hired Russell to extract as much money as he can from fans and stripped away fans loyalty by viewing people who could pay the increased prices more important than fans who have been going for years who could not. Also by introducing the gold, silver and bronze pricing it finished a century of acoustics at W12.
