I blew a lot on vodka and tonic, gambling and fags. Looking back, I think I overdid it on the tonic. - The one and only Stanley Bowles

NW used to be manager there I guess. But there goes the possibility of a big Prem team friendly at home though...

Well we always buy players from Relegated sides, so I guess it makes sense to also play them.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

                      Yeah I would say so.

Maybe we now get 10% off so 50k back but they get all revenue on ticket sales.

To see if we have missed any of their out of contract players that we could sign..

Why would we want a "big prem team" ? pre season is all about team work / playing time / confidence. Pre season frendlies against whatever opposition DOES not mirror a competitive game and the result is immaterial, infact it could totally shaft confidence instead of building it. Therefore I presume the only benefit would be the gate money - I for one am a lot happier paying £5 to watch this game, as it would be not to disimiliar to a so called big team ( and a big well done rangers on the price of this game - I remember a couple of years ago shelling out £20 for Chievo!)

It's all about building for Saturday August 7th onwards

                            How many will they bring?
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.
